cucked lol

If you have a 2011v3 CPU you don't need an upgrade.

>wait until august
>wait 6 months goy
nah

Q2 what I hurd

>I can't wait 3 months because I Have To Work With My PC Now (TM)

STOP BUYING SKYLAKE-X AND WAIT FOR ZEN+

>3 months
>not 6 months
>trying to jew me on time
nice try shekelstein

>not waiting for 10nm

STOP BUYING SILICON CHIPS AND WAIT FOR GRAPHENE

>not skipping past 10nm and going to 7nm

30 May 2017

graphene proved to be shit for chips on practice

Who cares

15% performance improvements! ************

Don't care.

Cinebench is life.

>P-p-please don't buy AMD
>Just Wait™

Actually I don't

>2011v3 CPU
Lol.
guru3d.com/news-story/skylake-x-will-be-launched-at-gamescom-2017.html

>According to DigiTimes these puppies will get launched in Q3 2017, lining up with gamescom. The CPUs will require you to AGAIN purchase a new motherboard as they will AGAIN use a new socket, LGA2066 . The platform has support for DDR4 memory and reportedly would be called X299.

WHY THE FUCK WOULD I CARE? BUY THE BEST CHIP YOU CAN AFFORD

Are you retarded? Read what I wrote.

I did mate. Just laughing at the no upgrade path of the poor fuckers.

So? What if I have a 10 years+ old PC?

>STOP BUYING SILICON CHIPS AND WAIT FOR GRAPHENE

They are going to use indium gallium arsenide, not graphene..

>If you have a 2011v3 CPU you DON'T need an upgrade.

Technically if you use a 3570k or 3770k minimum, you still don't need to update either.

>i-it's not like i want y-you to upgrade!

You do though. Ryzen has proven that you can have that kind of performance without putting a 140W housefire in your case.

94% of all Sup Forums users won't even get close to needing anything more than a 2500k, productivity wise. Waste of money.

o-ok i-ill wait

Yeah, pretty much.

(You)

>Average temperature at 4GHz: 75°

>you need or don't need to upgrade because Sup Forums said so
You are all fucking retarded. If a CPU does what it's supposed to do then there is NO REASON whatsoever to """""upgrade""""" and give money to some dirty kikes.
i5-2500k is still overkill for 90% of home users

Then you clearly don't need anything more than a 5 year old setup. Something like, say, a 2500k

Yeah, because who buy 200+$ CPU actually need it.

>tfw got a 2600k and never overclocked
I do the odd video encoding. I have no reason to upgrade until it dies

>If a CPU does what it's supposed to do then there is NO REASON whatsoever to """""upgrade""""" and give money to some dirty kikes.

That's exactly what I said.
And the only reason 3570k > 2500k is because it supports SATA3 and PCIE3.

>STOP BUYING FOR INDIUM GALLIUM ARSENIDE AND WAIT FOR THINKPADIUM GENTOOSIDE

the opportunity cost of *just* *wait* never seems to be measured on this board

>STOP BUYING RYZEN
I can smell the desperation

>STOP BUYING RYZEN

No one started.

2500k also supports sata3 you dumb nigger
>pcie3
for what purpose?
Even 1080 doesn't utilize 50% of pcie3.0x16 interface due to bandwidth compression

Nah. Actually I prefer AMD over Intel, but I was expecting more from these chips.

>for what purpose? Even 1080 doesn't utilize 50% of pcie3.0x16 interface due to bandwidth compression

PCIE SSDs.

Kek

JUST YOU WAIT GOY

WE HAVE MORE BACKDOORS ON OUR $1000 PROCESSORS GOY

OY VEY SUPPORT ISRAEL

>PLEASE BUY CPUS MADE BY MY EMPLOYER

>OH GOD DON'T LET THEM FIRE ME BAWWWW

They are going to use SiGe though.

>2017
>thinking you can be free from any kind of botnet

Son, we have to talk.

they moved it

For what purpose do you need pcie ssd?
Of course I'm talking about valid reasons, not the fact you're a good goy and you care so much about benchmarks

Nah, who the fuck cares. Actually, I hate Intel policy.

delayed

>just bought a 7600k
>this happens
well okay fuck me then. I mean at least itll be fine for at least 5 years.

Source?

Fuck these Jews. Do you have any source?

>For what purpose do you need pcie ssd?

2 gbyte / sec storage speeds.

>>just bought a 7600k
to be fair, you were fucked more ways than one by buying the 7600k over the 7700k.

>5 years with a 4c/4t CPU
Yeah, if that's what you want...

THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING. If youre not gonna wait for it, at least wait for Ryzen 5 CPUs

Why? How are these CPU related? Ryzen 5 is supposed to cover a completely different market section.

what do you NEED it for?
Seriously user, can't you read?

Why would someone need a faster storage?

Faster loading of... pretty much everything one can do on a computer?

I bet you are one of those morons who thinks SSDs are a meme and IDE HDDs are still the best choice due to rotational velocidensity.

>faster storage
exactly?
Beyond the point of usability it becomes a useless meme in typical consumer use.

> Not waiting for Tigerlake

>Not waiting for an Enthusiast (TM) CPU

>I bet you are one of those morons
No, I'm not. I'm using SATA SSDs in all my computers.
>Faster loading
Is it really noticable in typical use and even gayming? NO.
And if you care about difference between 2GB/s loading vs 550MB/s loading of some gaym you should seek immediate psychiatric help
You fucktards will justify buying anything just because MUH NUMBERS.

>not waiting for Intel's unannounced new arch

>4x isn't noticeable

whats this

No it's not.
Loading pretty much anything from 550MB/s read SSDs is already a matter of seconds. meme pcie storage doesn't make ANY difference in real life scenario.

Laughing at (You)

every single new generation of any chip has a new socket

>Is it really noticable in typical use and even gayming? NO.

skipping back/forward does not lag as much in HD and UHD videos if you run them from faster storage, since they are primarily bottlenecked by drive speeds.

I can ctrl+f for anything in my 10+gb local email archives and get results as I type.

Video editing is way faster. Any kind of editing that deals with large files is significantly faster.

Games load so fast that you barely see loading screens anymore.

It's a luxury, yes, but so is any video card above $300 or water cooling or 4k monitors.

>Loading pretty much anything from 550MB/s read SSDs is already a matter of seconds

And loading something from a revodrive takes a split second.

for real. also, I have tinfoil hat theories about AES-NI.

>It's a luxury, yes
but from the beginning we are talking about typical Sup Forums use, which is light gaymening, shitposting, watching movies and occasional playing with vms. And in these appliances newest CPU/PCIe storage/muh 1488MHz RAM doesn't fucking matter.
If you care about luxury you wouldn't want i5-2500k anyway, because you don't give a shit about valuing money.

Guy with a 960 EVO here, it's really not a noticeable difference in normal use.
I see a clear difference when handling Photoshop files and transferring data, it's great for things like that.
But compared to my 840 and 850 evos, it's really nothing special in normal use, like gaming or opening things.
If you have the money, sure go for it, but the average user won't notice the difference.

Can't wait for the day that our external storage reaches speeds like this though.
HDDs can't fuck off fast enough.

You missed the point of this topic basically at the beginning.
kill yourself

I have an SM961 and it has nothing to do with my old 750 PRO.

>light gaymening, shitposting, watching movies and occasional playing with vms

All of those benefit from faster storage. Basically you can load AAA games of today as if they were casual games from 2003.

And photoshop loads like fucking mspaint does.

again, you stupid fucking retard, we are talking about most affordable hardware. PCIe storage is an unnecessary cost.

it's not like you will change intel cpu in next 4-5 years

>>just bought a 7600k
Same. No regrets tho, I was on budget and it was the best cpu I could get.

nah i will buy i7 7700k by the end of this month

actually i ordered one but i doubt they will send it since i couldn't even pay after ordering it and when i called them they said shit like we confirmed your order but we need to see if we can ship more to our shop. Fucking komputronik pleb shop.

I haven't bought a new CPU since I built my current rig in 2011. Haven't needed to. I still haven't OC'd my i5 2500k yet, if I run up against a wall, I'll OC it and still not need a new cpu for another 5+ years.

Still have my 2500k from way back, works like a charm, only upped my graphics card past 5 years or so

it was in the news, just google it

I'm gonna get snowy owl with 16c/32t and ECC and all them cpu extensions

1-5% slower with 1080p games? I'm not a manchild. 50% cheaper than intel's offerings? Don't mind that thank you. Lower tdp and power usage you say? That's nice.

But let me just say: fuck your annual socket change. I have 1150, 1151, 2011 and 1366 cpus now in use and god fucking damnit I'm fed up with this shit. If ayymd offers even close enough shit I'll try them.

>wait for another skylake
kek

Sure, windows xp is suffucient, but is it as good as windows 7? No. Sure, a single core processor is good, but is it fast? Probably not. Is an old hhd sufficient? Sure, but newer ones are better.

>>tfw got a 2600k and never overclocked
You are undoubtedly a moron.

Could you please kill yourself?

>THINKPADIUM GENTOOSIDE

>People like yourself think Kaby-Lake is worth the small margin of peformance for $$$$'s more.
