Qubes OS

Any thoughts on it?

I'm on Gentoo Linux. which steps need I to make to turn it into a qubesOS? I need Virtualbox?

OH, you run Gentoo? Please tell us more.

Do you mean to make a Gentoo Qube, or to emulate Qubes while using Gentoo as Dom0?

Bump.

To emulate it.

You don't.

It's shit made for literal retards that deserve to be gassed.

Why?

In theory, it would be possible. KVM would make things weird because of how you'd have to handle PCIe, but there should be method of doing so.
You'd have to tell the Linux kernel to not initialize various pieces of hardware, and pass them to a VM to be utilized. Virtual box might be too dumb to do this, so I'd recommend using Xen if you could, or KVM and a ton of kernel arguments if you couldn't.

Bump.

Too early to be useful, but an excellent project.

>based on fedora

Care to elaborate, is it unsafe to use?

CIA backdoors

Not that user, but hardware support isn't great.
It's not unsafe though.

If you've got a fairly generic Intel board, it seems to work fine. Mind you, my experiences are fairly limited. Notably, EFI just refused to work for me.

Yeah, EFI just sucks in general.

It's Windows in the bootloader, what would anyone working with that hot trash expect?
On a slightly more positive note, ZFS and Qubes work together nicely. Snapshots and zvols for the templates are glorious.

>needs a 32GiB flash drive to install

I should add on to this: CSM mode worked perfectly fine, though.
