WHAT OS IS SAFE?

so according to wikileaks windows is a cia satellite, some linux distros owned by NSA

What we gonna use lads, is it safe to use mac os?

We use windows 10. The OS for true professionals.

Everything is compromised. Just use whatever.

Armbian

t.cia

you shut up agent smith

ReactOS doesn't have this problem.

Your post is upsetting us here at CIA. You wouldn't like it if we have to hurt mummy would you?

Is parrot os safe?

Use whatever you want.

Disconnect the camera and mic when not in use and change your passwords (no password manager) every month.

If it's a laptop physically disconnect the camera and microphone.

t. Mexican cybersecurity

RISC OS is the only 100% trustable OS, and there's dozens of bounties for devs too.

>ardDisc4

>t. Mexican cybersecurity
You're nothing to me.
t. Mexican Intellectual

you started this war CIA, you shouldn't have browsed my jailbait collection and shouldn't read my msn messenger archives

Terry built his OS entirely around the purpose of subverting CIA niggers and their ilk under the guidance of G-d.

LOL... But it's not a bad idea

OpenBSD is said by many to be the "most secure operating system", however, you should use any OS which ticks the following boxes:

1. Free Open Source Software
2. SIMPLE. More Simplicity = Less attack surface
3. Audited.
4. Has good security features
So, check out Hardened Gentoo (Make sure to use GrSec!), OpenBSD, Hardened Debian, or, you could use Plan9

MacOS is the safest.

>his disc isn't 'ard
Also RISC OS is probably the only OS where you can just drag your 'ard disc into the trash can and completely break the install, what's not to love

Cisen?

...

Just destroy your computer and take up another hobby

templeOS

Why are you even on Sup Forums? Don't spread misinformation, you ignorant crossboarder.

>mac
lmao

>What we gonna use lads
The linux distros that aren't owned by the NSA?

You do know that you can permanently disable CompuTrace, right?

Mars/Urbit

You do know that mactoddlers are completely locked out of their own BIOS right?

Hardened Gentoo is out of the reach for the majority of the population, Debian (GRSec/iptables/firejail) and OpenBSD are both viable options for your average person

So, what's a safe os then?

Lmao there's an entire section in it about how Airport is fucked like a duck

...

Kali

Based Carol.

Fedora - (SELinux,Firewalld,Wayland,SELinux Sandboxing)

OpenSUSE - (Apparmor, Firejail, strong firewall setup by default)

Alpine Linux, Debian with GRSec, KDE Neon with Firejail/Apparmor

Fedora and OpenSUSE come with those by default, forgot to mention.

Also, use OpenBSD if security is your main goal.

The funniest thing these leaks revealed

are that some dumbasses like OP

thought ANY OS was safe without taking specific hardening measures

Like, you could just install Kali like Hackerman the TV show star did once and be immune to NSA...

Alpine looks like it's geared for server or router use, but I'll check it out. My desktop needs are pretty limited actually

Just a heads up, sometimes Alpine isn't up to date with the GRSec development, fire it up in a VM first and see what you think

Can i join your Agent Smithferoonies leejun ? I wanna learn about cloning-myself-no-jutsu.

Best advice.

>intentionally breaking your install

TempleOS

I'm still safe anons

I can watch youtube on plan 9 right user?

...

What about Devuan?

Is calculate Linux good if i just want something that works? I don't mind learning and fucking around but I'd rather my main desktop be stable.

How about being honest, honorable, and not trying to hide something you fucking faggot

Can I harden windows?
How about they stop to hide it, too?

This. If all mainstream OSes are compromised and Linux is not fixed quickly, minimalism is the only way to ensure a good malware protection.

freedom, user

What, exactly, is "grsec", and do I need it to be safe?

>have to compile it
garbage

Set of security patches now under bullshit licencing.

Of these, it looks like Alpine is the one that is free of systemd.

This makes it the only viable option imo

>£3000 bounty to revamp the filesystem
Damn, if I had an ARM machine I'd probably try looking into that
riscosopen.org/bounty

Are you nuts? Mac OS is even WORSE.

ponyos.org/

I didn't see anything about the Roku operating system anywhere. Guess I'm going to have to switch to Brightscript as my main language. At least I'll be the only person in at least 500 miles who knows the language.

Point #1: User will be banned for that post

Point #2: Fuck your non-Debian-based shit

anyone know how susceptible Qubes OS is to all this?

What are you hiding?

...

9front and TempleOS are the last ones.

Posting thumbnails should result in a permaban fucking faggot

You shouldn't have to sacrifice your freedom for the CIA. Just use whatever the CIA is not interested in your loli porn

TempleOS is the last sacred OS

Snatched it right up

>(no password manager)
Yeah, no.

Reminder that all the leaks we've had have just been from one country. There are 193 countries on the planet.

Everything is compromised. Just live your life and don't be paranoid.

None of them are safe, may as well just use Windows at this point.

not a single one if you use home internet with contract
if you hijack internet from somewhere carefully maybe there is safe OS

Windows comes more hardened than the majority of distros fwiw

Windoves 7 Encrypted tinfoil edtion with the updates turned is pretty comfy for me plus i can replace the start button with 4chin clover logo

> conspiracy, delusion and irrationality

What you wanted to tell accept the reality, live your life.

OpenBSD is the only usable OS not mentioned. Thanks Theo.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

TempleOS is the only OS known to the mankind that has stayed uncompromised.

CIA niggers don't fuck with HolyC because it's too complicated for outsourced pajeets to deal with.

If you're that paranoid, program your own.

>CIA
>outsourced pajeets
Funny because it is true.

>Everything is compromised. Just use whatever.
HURRR DURRR I MUST GO INTO EVERY ONE OF THESE THREADS AND MAKE THE SAME COMMENTS!

If you were a white person you'd know that security is a matter of degrees. Being a poo in loo you can't comprehend that some OS's are just more secure than others. It's a racial handicap, I know, but "everything" isn't necessarily compromised and "just use whatever" is fucking retarded advice.

You can admit you're not white user. We don't care. We can already tell.

...

Why are you

posting like a

retard?

Retard?

BSD kernel isn't as secure as a hardened kernel like Linux grsec

prove it

>anyone know how susceptible Qubes OS is to all this?

Qubes only needs one Xen hypervisor vuln and it's all over. Although I don't think anyone has mentioned anything about Xen being found in the leak.

If you must use one then go for Master Password since there's no need for backup/cloud/sync/etc.

>No! PonyOS uses its own kernel, built from scratch.
The absolute madmen.

allthatiswrong.wordpress.com/tag/grsecurity/

Sorry, that's lazy.

Explain it here, summarize, encapsulate. Do it like you're selling it to me, otherwise no dice.

Minix 3.1

Most secrue micro-kernel in the World.

Sounds like you're just too lazy to read and want a tldr
Then you try to call others lazy smhh

I know many people in the west have 5 minute attention spans so here's the conclusion: allthatiswrong.wordpress.com/tag/grsecurity/#conclusion

Don't worry, it's only six little paragraphs.

Not good enough, you made a bold claim and then come and drop a mere link to some web page?

Summarize, encapsulate, etc. I don't read blogs.

Just use NetBSD with a Minix micro kernel.

I'm not that person, but it sounds like you're just too lazy to read. I'm not spoon-feeding you and I'm done talking with you.

>Qubes only needs one Xen hypervisor vuln and it's all over.
but without qubes you don't even need that one vuln and it's all over

it's an extra layer of protection and absent your xen vuln adds protection to the user

True. I was, however, illustrating that no software is a magic solution.

i'll consider his point poorly advanced and not proved at all

you don't debate or prove a premise by showing up and yelling LITERALLY READ A BOOK (blog)

sorry, back to debate club with you

I made the claim that Grsec is better than openbsd
You made the claim that openbsd is good for security first
Ought you not prove your statement first? Because you haven't proved your statement, my statement follows as true since a hardened Linux kernel > something that hasn't been proved to be secure by the one claiming it is secure.
