Anyone here /student/ status?
How much does it cost and what are you studying?

> subtract $5k a year in scholarships

I'm Canadian
Just graduated from a comp sci program, got a job, and had a full scholarship so I have no student loans. If I could do it, you all have no excuse.
just graduated
it was about $5100 rent, $6000 tuition/fees
you can spend pretty well as much or as little as you'd like on food. you could probably live off $100 a month, maybe even less, if you eat nothing but rice, beans, eggs, milk, and potatoes.
Unfortunately for me if you live on campus the meal plan is required :(
It's asinine as fuck
>paying for education
terrific memes you have here lads
anyway, aero eng reporting in
I"m a PhD student in chemistry, I get a 25k/year stipend.
>I literally don't know, I just turn up to uni and study. Apparently I'm now in debt but I don't have to pay it off until I hit a certain income threshold.
>islamic basketweaving theory and turkic feminist literature
>mfw public university
I get about $1000 a month to go to school for free.
Not sure if 5 years of my life was worth it though.
Is Sup Forums smarter than the general population?
This is an honest question and I'll try not to make it sound retarded.
Think about it. Every time a question like this is posed you find people studying amazing things on a site that seems like the toilet of the internet.
$2k a year
electrical engineering
You're going to find more smarter people here, and more retards here. General deviation is higher. Just a baseless assumption from me though.
Someone should do a study on this.
It'll depend per board as well. I imagine /sci/ or /lit/ will generally be quite intelligent, whereas the vidya or anime boards might take a dip. Again, just stereotyping, but it's another factor.
I think high deviation is a good estimate based on the general deviancy of people who use this site.
I think it would be quite difficult to discern the actual intelligence of Sup Forums posters because you can't know whether a person is playing dumb or actually dumb.
I read recently that women prefer educated and intelligent men when choosing a partner.
Sup Forums has the largest population of Virgins on social media.
What's going on here?
>be 21
>youngest of all students
>le why didn't u go to le armi almost everyday
>software engineering 2nd year
dad pays for tuition but i live alone and have to pay for rent bills and food
0 euros because everything is free
>I read recently that women prefer educated and intelligent men when choosing a partner.
Intelligent men, which includes social intelligence.
Having intricate knowledge about a few things is not what women want, although having that in an already acceptable partner would be a plus.
At least we'll be able to get jobs.
