I bought a r7 1700 and it is fucking great (previously I had an i5 4670), ask me anything
changes I noticed:
>video editing does not lag anymore (playback and seek)
>games are super fucking smooth, minimum framerates are ridiculously high
>stock cooler that came with it does the job and still has headroom for overclocking
>scrolling in an internet browser on my 4k display no longer lags
>everyday use is a lot smoother

Have you tried undervolting while running at a constant turbo frequency (ie setting the base to 3.7 GHz)? If so what voltage did you achieve?
I heard zen is a boss for undervolting.

If you're a gaymur, getthing anything other than a r7 1700 is a waste of money.
The r7 1700 and it's afternarket-stock cooler have the best value and are pretty sick.
The others are for people that don't want to overclock the 1700 and just want it now (which is fine and reasonable).
well to be honest games would run better altogether with a 7700K, both average and minimum FPS
there might be a handful of exceptions but none I'm aware of
every other advantage OP listed would be forfeited though
