Which country in your opinions has some of the best literature? Any kind really, Fables, Myths, Philosophy, Essays, etc.

I've been thinking of picking up a Scandi language and getting a little immersed in the history and the sorts.

Our cultural output was always pretty mediocre, we engaged in art and music and theatre like every other european nation but nothing outstanding came to be.
