That guy who pronounces JSON as Jason instead of JaSiOn

>that guy who pronounces JSON as Jason instead of JaSiOn

>According to Douglas Crockford who introduced JSON, it's pronounced like the name Jason
eat shit

>that guy who uses JSON instead of CSV

I say JaySon.

>the author says it in a dumb way but he must be right
no

>not saying gee es o en

Add gif to that list (it's a hard g)

Json is pronounced jay-saun

>the creator of something says it's like the way he says it because he was the FUCKING inventor of it
>meh, must be wrong
How can you live with yourself?

I say it as jay and then the first syllable in "sonic", something like "jaysawn"

gif is pronounced the same way as the gi in give, i refuse to accept anything else

i just say it as its written

jay ass o ann?

haha dumb ameritards, slav languages confirmed masterrace

Why can't you take the g sound from how you pronounce Sup Forums

i say jay-saun as well

makes sense if you consider the first syllable of the word "object"

There are lot of cases where the inventor doesn't even know HOW or WHY their invention works.

Because it's 'graphics interchange format', not 'jraphics interchange format'

It's a name. Not quantum physics. In fact it's an acronym. In theory we should say it J S O N

My wife's gay son Jason pronounces JSON as JaSiOn. I'm like: gee son, why can't you be more like your step brother Jayshawn?

>mysql
>my es q el
>not myschool

>not pronouncing SQL as "sequel", as intended by its inventors

>not pronouncing "my structured query language"

>Jobless neet detected

Not that guy, but in data mining and integration I had to work a lot with CSV files.

another Jay-saun reporting in.

>not pronouncing SQL as "squirrel", as dictated by me

Which is why we all pronounce JPEG as jay-feg, right?

Jaysaun master race reporting in

*mental disability race

I am the Jotasón guy.

gif as in giraf

I pronounce it as `inferior-to-xml`

JAY ES ON

fuggin spigz amirite? hahahaha xDD

Okay, I have never heard anyone say JA SI ON

WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THE SI FROM

JSON and CSV aren't even comparable

oh look its THIS thread again

sql = sequel

prove me wrong

came here to post this

>Using phonetic transcription notation when you're not doing a phonetic transcription

Not after the copyright fiasco :^)
Done.

It's jpeg, and not jpheg, faggot.
Sup Forums doesn't know much about coding and even less bout phonetics.

Jay-saun vs Jason isn't too strong of a difference. Just depends on how you want to pronounce the o. Gif vs Jif is a bit stronger of a difference, since the pronunciation change is on a consonant, and since the author's preferred pronunciation is unintuitive.

I pronounce it Ess Que Ell to not mix it up with the Sequel library in Ruby.

actually they are.

Of course JSON is a lot more flexible
