Why do you have a laptop from the 90s? Are you poor?

A dinosaur laptop for that price xd why don't you get an Asus or Apple?

macbooks are from the 90s too

>E
Did you not read /tpg/?
E-series are trash compared to 'real' Chinkpads. Still loads better than the cheapest plastic-Acer-trash you usually find though.

I want to buy the same one.
Is it good OP ?

>16:9
>separated keys
>keyboard succ, ain't mechanical like those ideapad shits

> thinkpad E
Not good, it'll lack all those enterprise features an it's basically an Ideapad with trackpoint.

i dont know. i don't have it yet. i bought it online.

>thinkpad E570
looks like a carbon copy of ideapad G series. Can confirm bec it uses same design for usb/vga ports and etc.
keyboard is bad for general purpose programming, expect it to disintegrate after few years.

'real' chinkpads are only good because they have thicc plastic. this one does too.

No, it's because there's a solid community and a big choice of parts from Ali. Good luck finding all of that for Thinkpad E.

we're not allowed to get anything other than x or t op

>bought
its done, why come here now?

i always buy first, ask questions later

get a real thinkpad, faggot

its better than your average market shit laptop but its still garbage

enjoy your 720p screen core 2 duo faggot. keep deluding yourself that it's better

underrated post

You could've bought a 2015 rmbp for that money.

>no excuse

I'll just quote it so you read it really carefully
>> thinkpad E
>Not good, it'll lack all those enterprise features an it's basically an Ideapad with trackpoint.

yes there is. thinkpad has better build quality but more importantly has 7th gen intel

I agree that you're getting a newer processor, but you trade off too much IMO
>build quality
I think we can all agree that macbooks have superior build quality, especially the 2015 models, since they have a good keyboard as well.
So, if you buy the thinkpad, you get the superior processor.
If you buy the macbook you get a better screen, better trackpad, superior build, superior customer service, blazing fast ssd and a great battery.

It's a no brainer desu

not really since you can't buy them new at that price

>If you buy the macbook you get a better screen, better trackpad, superior build, superior customer service, blazing fast ssd and a great battery

fuck off shill

>a vintage business model laptop?
>why don't you get the G4M3Rr XxX Pr0_(sniper) PREDATOR-MAXIMUS- 5000?

>15 inch screen

lol. nice "laptop", buddy.

i dont like giant phone screens. soz.

>they start at about $1000AUD used
My bad, I thought he paid $800 american

Real adults don't care about the brand as long as they get a good product, kid. :^)

>635.38 USD
What the fuck why is it so cheap?

i bought it using this method ozbargain.com.au/node/298292

If you're careful with them, Edge models can be alright - their main shortcoming is durability but they're otherwise reasonably comfy until you have to move it.

I personally would have gone with something like a W530 - you can get one for about $500AUD. The performance all round will be much better, save graphics - and even then the 950m is a fairly pitiful improvement given the 5 year difference in the age of the laptops. It would be a bit thicker and that's about it, but its a fucking 15" anyway.

>a bit thicker
kek

Great laptop OP, no major issues from me after owning it for 4 months.

>Lenovo E570 15.6" Laptop: i7-7500U. 16GB DDR4, 256GB PCIe SSD, GTX 950M, Win 10 $509.40

thats how much i paid for it

What's the best laptop for 1400$?
And no, screw integrated graphics.

that's black sunday though

>enjoy your 720p screen core 2 duo faggot. keep deluding yourself that it's better
your i7 is a dual core as well

Damm. I own a E460, i5, HD520 and was a lot expensive.
I wish I had known.

2 cores is gr8 so long as its 7th gen intel with some nice cache

>superior build
not really
t.macfag

>heir main shortcoming is durability
aka they're gook plastic shit no better than Acer

I bought one at black friday in Canada for under 500$. It's worth the price I payed for but this is nothing like a real thinkpad (compated to T400, T430s, TP13, T520, etc).
The "E" series is more like the IdeaPad series consumer laptops with basic construction. There is no inner frame, just the plastic shell. This is probably the flimsiest ThinkPad I ever saw. The Keyboard is also pretty crappy, dull feeling. trackpad suck.

I would not recoment this laptop to anyone...

>chicklet keys

Should have used the discount on /TPG/

Features like what do you need as a consumer

For 600$ you could have got a t450 with decent screen.

>autism

>i7 U
garbage

>u processor

Why didn't you just buy an older Thinkpad for $200 lol. Same function, better keyboard, less UEFI botnet

at least it's babby lake though

ishiggydiggy ding dong diddily doo, squat in the street and poo!

But they have a trackpoint!
The keyboards are also on par with regular thinkpads, though I wouldn't be surprised if late models cheap out on them. Those two things, plus the colour scheme, are the only way in which Edge models resemble thinkpads.

that keyboard is so sexy, too bad it's a fat brick
