This is new Firefox design Sup Forums. Maybe it will change in time for 57 release.

It's an improvement over astralis abortion. They managed to fuck up the address bar though, all that wasted space

Looks better than Australis.

That home icon is making me want to spoon my own eyes out.

Still on 45 right now, feels good man.

lol pussified browser

don't ask me why I think this way

it looks like it's made for girls

Pale Meem doesn't have this problem.

these

thank god for classic theme restorer and its xul based magic
wait a sec...

Looks nice. Just let me increase the size of the address bar.

Wait a second...
>they unified the address and search bar
what the fuck?

looks great imo. Might consider using it again

>tfw no more aerodynamic tabs

too much drop shadow on the URL bar

>tfw you won't be able to fix this yourself in the future

Looks like the Fx28 theme basically which was imo the best theme Mozilla ever had.

I really do not like the rounded back button.

it looks better than opera neon

but what the fuck, WHY???

Basically my only complaints

Location bar should expand to fill any empty areas

So they admit the retarded meme tabs were shit?

your face is shit

>lack of icon uniformity
>wasted space everywhere
>no vertical tabs
it's dead

>54.02a
>still shitty old design

It's not wasted space it's ae - stheti - cs

>reddit
>Mac OS X

this won't drop until at least v57. it's still a concept

ugly

Looks much better

I hope that there's an option to fix that.

Why would you want a separate search bar?

Good. There's literally no reason not to have a unified search and address bar anymore.

I agree with this though.

>unified search

i want to type a word on the urlbar to find a visited site / bookmark and not have the word sent to search engines for auto competion,

if i want autocompletion i ctrl+K into search bar and let it autocomplete on my default search engine without bloat from bookmark+history getting in the drop down

CTRL+H, CTRL+F.

>that wasted space
>dots menu
>no search box
>add-ons which could change this shit back not compatible any more
Mozilla finished. Might as well switch to chrome now

Remember when firefox wasn't made by retards?

I miss tabs on bottom

I switched to brave

Don't even care about the consequences it looks clean and works well.

ass-d-dicks

Nothing's stopping you from putting them on the bottom

>he doesn't use pale moon

The only thing I care about is if it's going to allow me to put the tabs next to the address bar.

>release is version 57

you are aware 54 is before 57?

Everything but that home button. Looks great otherwise. I'm still going to be using Mozilla's tab center anyway, but definitely an improvement.

Now if only they can get e10s to improve performance, Firefox might make it back into relevance again. We can only hope.

You got those gross fucking 3 google dots
WHY GOD WHY does it want to be a chrome clone
Why does eveything have to be a google or apple product rip off. People don't use mozilla because they actually want chrome and people who want chrome use chrome
EXPLAIN WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

those things in the upper left? Those are macOS-standard. Stop sperging out that they used a mac screenshot and not a windows one. You'll be fine.

Jesus are you ever dumb

If they don't kill the developer theme it's all good.

I actually like it

I believe he's taking about the thingy on the right in the address bar

The hamburger menu? Fx has had that for years.

I'll take one cheese

>developer edition
>not using developer theme
retard

And...I'll be using Safari 100%. I've been using both because Safari is far faster and less buggy but I love some of my FF plugins.

But this design? All that wasted space in the address bar? Fuck it, I'm out.

No the three dots next to the star

>Dowload Firefox
>Dowload
Of all things, this triggers me.

And why would that be my friend

I guess the good thing for Mozilla is that these past few years since they lost all their market share they can get away with just trying this stupid shit constantly because nobody serious actually uses Firefox any more.

>using anything electron-based

>with just trying this stupid shit constantly
Mozilla is still doing good things even though no one's talking about them. See AV1 for example.

Looks alright compared to what it is now, but there are still some obvious issues that I hope they fix before actually implementing it.

>he doesn't want a browser that crashes more often than ff

Mozilla is also bringing the compact dark and light themes to Firefox 53. Those are the "Dev Edition" themes in black and white respectively.

Square tabs is all I need.

>Not having Brave, Nightly, Pale Moon, and Opera Neon installed

>tfw you implemented your own search and address bar in your homepage so you can hide firefox's shitty implementation

>wanting a search bar
fuck off you geriatric

Address bar has always been search bar, except before search bar was search bar when it was Search Bar 2.

It's probly available in the UI customize menu.

Agreed. Australis is fucking awful. Glad they're going back to square tabs.
I just hope they also have small icons and then I'll be happy.

Who the fuck uses the search bar anymore? I always just hide that shit and use the address bar for searching. Search bar is obsolete.

>tfw every other version Mozilla finds a new way to break your addon bar search
Moving in that direction, user.

>I want to tell google every time I accidentally type/copy an invalid url
smart

>searching with google

they're all google, man... they all are

"They" maybe, there's alternatives.

>I want to tell duckduckgo every time I accidentally type/copy an invalid url
smart

>Duckcuckgo
Their results are so bad and DDG = Yahoo. Startpage is closer to the ol' scroogled. Ixquick is separate. Then there's a few decentralized crawlers which.... are completely retarded cause you can manipulate SEO hard when you are reporting crawling.

Still, there's options.

You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

Sexy, I still miss the status bar in place of address bar though.

>tabs on bottom
nah

tabs are supposed to be on the bottom faglord, they're attached to the page

ever seen one of these before fuckface
the tabs wouldn;t work if theyre fucking floating off at the top and not attatched the the page designed by some fucking stupid ass retard bitch

That actually looks like a pretty decent browser design. Take something like Vivaldi. Put the tabs on the bottom.

Actually the tabs are technically the highest up. Each tab basically has its own set of controls That's why tabs on top exists.

WRONG

>press back/forward or refresh/stop button on one tab
>other tabs are not affected
>bookmark star specifically applies to the current tab

>making mistakes
pleb

This guy gets it

firefox is free and open
nothing stops you from messing a little with userchrome.css and customizing whatever aspect of the interface that you dont like.

no, user, whitespace is le stupid! It's dumb and muh wasted space !!! DXX

there is literally no reason to use firefox

literally no reason to use anything else

chrome is better

chrome is the best at being a botnet, everything else is about equal.

you cant watch netflix on firefox linux

>they still don't know about brilliant K-Meleon
Such a shame

>searching

>just give us some time, we will be exactly like chrome is now

how to get rid of tabs?

sure you can

If it lets you remove the close (X) button on tabs I'm all for it.

this is average Sup Forums user blindly following memes, you can't watch netflix on firefox linux because lack of drm modules. its recently added as experimented feature. only way to watch it was using google chrome

>pay2stream

fucking normie retard, go use internet explorer

They're not recent, though the official support started like this past week. You could have watched it by changing useragents for the past I dunno, 6 months? Officially though it is supported now in stable (not experimental)

That's the symbol for cutting text. I don't know why they put it there, but it was in the menu for ages.

>Search bar is obsolete
Search bar allows you to search something like foo.bar without attempting to resolve, and you can search multiple search engines you've defined, as opposed to the single default in address bar.
