planned upgrades/rate hate edition?

Planning to put in my closed loop cooler once it gets AM4 brackets, even though I really like the look of the stock cooler. Also Vega soon I suppose.

Planning to get a new GPU soon hopefully. Upgrading from a HD7950 to a GTX 1070

ryzen master race reporting in.

Going to get AM4 once R5 1600X comes out and i see the reviews.

What case is that?

Just upgraded from A10-7850K+R9 270 -> this R7 1700 + RX480. Also binned the pos AIO and got proper air cooling. The room has never been this silent. Next up ahead probably some peripherals & Vega?

its the corsair air 740

I know people are going to be unloading cheap gtx 1070's and gtx 1080's on ebay you could check there. i got a new gtx 1070 for 320.

>post consoles?

Ricoh PPU @ 5.32Mhz
4KB RDRAM @ 500Mhz

Amd is for shitskin poor people

Someone is upset about not being able to afford Ryzen

I already have a high end Intel and Nvidia system, Rajeesh

This.

tryed to down scale using another method.
and changed the speecy it shill looks like shit but at least some what readable now.

waiting for Vega or if not somthing that looks nice :)

How much ram is necessary?

16GB anymore is a meme. I'm But basically if you have the money get the most you can but don't do it to miss out on a Good GPU.
I got 32GB because I don't plan to upgrade for many years only muh GPU.
It is about what you use it for and how you use it.
That said I don't think 4 cores 8threads is going to be useless anytime soon but its not going to be top notch for much longer as we see productivity is lacking in 4 cores now compered to 6 cores or more.

I still think 3dx point is a non consumer niche item but we will see.

R8/H8 my build:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor
Mobo: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB 1866
SSD: Sandisk 128GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280
PSU: Rosewill Hive 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Mod

eh i would say 32gb. my fallout 4 crashes after ~an hour of play due to low memory because it eats 15gb of of the 16gb i have. planetary annihilation and rust will use ~9-11gb of ram. even battefield 1 will use close to 8gb just for itself. yeah 8gb of 16gb, but take in account windows and everything else, it could leave you with 2 - 3gb at most. you still have a buffer but its damn close.

if you just shitpost and masturbate to cartoon porn you can easily get away with 16gb of ram, but if you do anything else just grab 32gb.

Throw it into the trash it shouldn't exist. You can't even manage cables remotely properly.

you didn't even put your ram into dual channel config.... 8gb of ram... 8350 house fire. 280 house fire. man thats one meme ass build.

>if you just shitpost and masturbate to cartoon porn you can do this with 16gb ram

lol user i can do that with 512mb of ram,

what case is that
is it matx

Dual channel config is a meme. 8350 will be replaced with a seasonic soon. How is the 280 a house fire tho really

>8350 will be replaced with a seasonic soon
>8350 processor
>replaced with a seasonic power supply

>ryzen
>masterrace
lol

This is my first build I made about 4 years ago. Was high end at one point in time.

Came into some money so planing a new vr build early next year.

Gpu cable should be coming from mid grommet.
24 pin should be coming from top left grommet.
You should organise other cables.
Buy cable combs and braided cables assuming you are running on a modular psu.
Sick rig BTW famalam

what cpu cooler is that? the halo ring

AMD Wraith Spire.
It's the 1700 stock cooler

...

are those noctua fans?

Stock 1700 cooler. It's one of the prettiest coolers out there to be honest. Works decent too.

>planned upgrades/rate hate edition?

I was thinking about doubling my memory capacity with an identical 8GB 2400MHz kit. But maybe throwing out my current RAM and go for a 16GB 3000MHz kit would be better?

my nignog

That is very dope for a stock cooler. The white halo ring in the OP caught my attention. It looks neat.

Recently leafblowered

OP here, it's actually yellow, color just blows out. It's a nice deep yellow actually.

not him, but I'm gonna guess and I might get some things wrong.

>top fans: Noctua 140mm
>back fan: Corsair (puke)
>CPU fans: either MSI proprietary fans or Thermalthief Riing

Pretty much spot on.
The cpu fans are indeed Riings
Back exhaust is the old corsair af140
Top exhaust and front intake fans are Noctua NF-A14

cable management in mitx is a fucking joke. i think ill have to trim the cables short and sleeve them individually

that must have been a massive performance improvement, wasn't it? I too have an APU

jet fighter/space heater/dust collector

Yes it's very difficult in mITX. You'll never get it perfect, only "bearable".

>trim the cables short
If you're sleeving, don't ever do this. It's more work in the end. Spend the extra $20, get some more pins and get the connectors for both ends, and build all new cables.
Also, that way you still have your original cables and can make a warranty claim if the PSU fails. If you've modified those cables, the warranty is void.

problem is the supply is semi modular, the msy guy convinced me it would fit in the case better. he was right i think, but it wasnt a worthy tradeoff. i intend to make new sata power cables from scratch

Well then you're just fucked. For reference, Silverstone makes decent performing fully modular units in shallow housings. ATX PSU standard is 160mm length, but the Silverstones are 140mm for the Gold or Platinum models, 150mm for the Titanium ones. If you're up for replacing your power supply in the future, I'd suggest one of those.

thanks, but fully modular would fit. the case is plenty big enough, i just made a bad choice. might see if i can sell the current supply and get a new one

that cooler looks fucken siiiiick. nice looking build. what case? the usb panel looks like its from a core v1

Core v21. The mATX cousin.

oh cool, i have the mitx version. i ripped the foam filter while cleaning it with a vacuum. when i was replacing it i got rid off the logo, and beat the dent out of shape, using a butane to rch to heat and shrink the metal. i think it looks a bit more monolithic and better

I like it. Since the front logo is a magnet on this one I'm considering just 3d printing a custom emblem.

>Since the front logo is a magnet on this one I'm considering just 3d printing a custom emblem.

i kind of want to get the tracer nendoroid and turn her into a wifi antenna

OYYYYY VEYYYYYY ITS ALIKE ANUDDA SHOAH

I just want to thank all of the good goyim in this thread, thank you for buying intel

literally the best price/perf. at the time of buying

looks like a tv from the thumbnail

CPU: AMD

stopped reading there senpai

Good post david

This would be funnier if you were a bot, but like that it's just cringy

OY VEY A ANTISEMITE IM GOING TO CALL THE JIDF ON YOU

for everyone with ryzen in here

I'm waiting on the asrock x370 taichi to come in

what ram should I get?

INTEL PLEASE BUY INTEL DONT BE A NAZI

Maybe could you just stop shitting up threads

House fire edition 1080 Ti reporting in. Shit gets so hot but I don't wanna ruin the look of the build by putting an Hybrid cooler on it.

OY VEY AMD SHILL DETECTED

at least there are some great allys here, good goyim

AMD accidentally pulled off one of the best RGB implementations. I just love that cooler. Your build is top tier.
Fuck those are like $40 fans. I think your case choice is pretty good considering it's air cooled. How are your cpu overclocks? So envious of your fans, I wiish I could afford those.
Nothing I love or hate about this PC. I don't think the motherboard looks gret but that lighting behind the mobo tray is god tier. ALso keep that blue rgb strip out of sight.
I commented last time. I like your split zone lighting.
100/10. Builds where the parts look like huge legos are just incredible. Your shit iis just so pleasing to look at, great job.
Invest in a fan with purple blades.
who needs air flow anyway
barf.
boring
Camera probably cost more than the PC. Patrician tier though, I love it.
Nice but I think it's just the camera flattering the build.
I've always been a fan of your build. The chrome is hard to rival.
Good simple pc.
Extremely aesthetic. That thermalright CPU cooler is so nice. Kind of wish I had a case more suited to air cooling.
Lots of money tier. I can't hate though. Sell your 980ti's for a single 1080ti before they lose even more value. I just bought mine with a hybrid cooler for $350.

This is my new PC. Everything but the CPU, HDD's, PSU, monitors is new. I've put a ton of work into it trying to find the best cooling set up. I just went push pull on the 120mm rad. 3 120mm intakes up front, the back rad is intake, and 2 120mm exhausts up top since the hot air rises anyway. I spend a bunch of time staring at it.

...

wtf are you on about the founders edition is fucking ugly
6-7-9 series nvidia and fury/polaris stock coolers are patrician as fuck

Seriously though, we were having an nice thread. Nobody thinks it's funny

ANTISEMITISM ISNT FUNNY

980tis haven't really lost much value at all since their computational power is still better than the 1070 and they have a faster memory bus they primarily sell for around 400-500

Nice build but why the stupid fish eye camera?
Actually pretty nice LED lighting, though I feel like you wen't a little over kill on the fans. Mores fans = more noise.
What did you use to take this? A webcam? Also that two tone lighting is ugly.
Really liking these upside down builds, lets you see the GPU.
Cuck: The post
Your CPU is way OP for that video card user
I will always hate little cases for this reason. Shit cable management.
You must be Italian with all that spaghetti.
You've had 4 years to fix the cable management and you've refused too, explain yourself.
Fellow Noctua master race I see.
A solid use of RGB LED's my friend
Those LED's are so out of place in this build.
Honestly really well done, just needs some sleeved cable extensions for the 2nd GPU
Not much to say here, decent build.
I assume this is what would happen if Justin Bieber contracted Linus to build him a PC.
That case though.
Why do so many of you have such shit cameras? Nice case though.
So many different colors going on.
Sleeved cables please user.
Not gonna rate my own post
Sleeved cables man. Everything just looks so busy in that right now.

I agree

One of the 980 Ti:s already sold, other one going to secondary battlestation and Asus 1080 Ti Stric hopefully being shipped next week!

>So many different colors going on.
Form follows function.

But you can get equal function not having a mosh pit of colors going on

I don't see the colors since I don't have a windowed case.

i5-7600k @ 4.4ghz
8 GB RAM @ 3ghz
XFX RX 480 8 GB

I don't have a window on my case, I don't care about cable management. I like having a small PC.

Airflow is fine, my temps are well in the normal range.

...

>he bought the 7600k meme

>being poor

>buys a shit middle range cpu
>accuses others of being poor

A fool and his money are soon parted

I laugh every time there is a 212 Evo cooler, they are terrible, cheap, and their mounting is just so overcomplicated, yes I used to own one

Was it an evga hybrid? Maybe I bought yours
Maybe in your country? I just bought one of the most expensive models the evga hybrid for 350 on ebay. Flashed bios running at 1550 core rock solid

nothing special really

Yeah you can find them really cheap on ebay from retards low balling too much

Raijintek Thetis, a tiny full-ATX case.

The difference was mindblowing. I knew it'd become faster, but I never anticipated by how much. Also upgrading Samsung 850 SSD -> Intel 600p NVMe SSD could have had some impact. The APU build was solid too for what it was worth. Did surprisingly well in GPU-intensive tasks, but fell really short on CPU-intensive tasks.

>Intel mobos have to have amd logos on them

pic?

Is that a screen shot on Salazar's new AMD build?

that's and oven retard
