Could have more chess and meatballs but that's alright because the price.

Faaaaaaaaaaaaag.

Link? I want one, they must have other ones too.

>buying an imad when this exists

If it didn't run windows, I'd be all over it.

battery life is fucking atrocious

...

>winkek
>shit battery life
>way too heavy and big for a tablet + shit pen support
>can't be used on the lap like a real laptop
It's a cute piece of hardware with no real purpose.

We have a telegram group about ThinkPads if you're interested @thinkpadgeneral

...

>battery life
oh so 8 hours on wifi is bad now huh

>modern surface with ulv-processor has 8h on wifi
>meanwhile my x230 with a full-wattage processor has 12h battery on wifi
lmaoing at your life, mate.

ok that's nice my x220t beats it too however it doesn't have a 2736x1824 display either and is way bigger

Can't the tablet meme just die already?

>they don't think of original ideas
Ironic considering how Windows was a copycat product.

ok, thats a fair point. For the size and weight the surface can be a decent laptop replacement. But in day to day use I simply get more out of my thinkpad since preformance is about the same, but batterylife is much better. I would guess that it isn't much different with more modern laptops. Also for a tablet 8h on wifi is just bad.

How he fuck do you get that kind of battery life? My x220T gets at MOST 4 hours

>t. mactoddler

Got a new battery? Like an actual genuine one and not a chink ripoff. Mine also has 8GB of RAM and an SSD that helps a bit.

not him but the x230 guy. I have a new 9-cell battery and use tlp on linux. I had to tinker a little bit with the config to get this amount of batterylife. I also use thermald to keep it from harsh throtteling once the temps go up, but I don't think that thats more than placebo in my case.

>Also for a tablet 8h on wifi is just bad.
I don't think so when you consider the hardware being driven by an OS that is way more capable than its designed for mobile competitors.

Yeah I got 8GB ram, ssd. Battery slice with 85% battery remaining , and a 3 cell battery. Unless you're using Linux I doubt your have a bettery battery life than me

>he's not using linux
but why

In case you haven't noticed it's an X220T. Linux is shit with wacom drivers and I use it for drawing.

yes it is

Oh I have a partition with w10 too.

when you consider the hardware and capabilitys you have to compare it to other devices which have the same capabilitys. Again: 8h for a laptop isn't bad but not that great either.

>when you consider the hardware and capabilitys you have to compare it to other devices which have the same capabilitys.
Like what? You can't just call it a tablet when you want to denigrate it then flip around and call it a laptop to do the same. That's wholly unreasonable.

hadn't that much problems with wacom-tablets on newer kernel versions but I'm not an artist.

I compared it to a tablet and said it has a bad batteryperformance for one.
You complained.
I compared it to a laptop, which it is preformance wise. It has a reasonable batterylife for a laptop but not a good one.
What don't you understand?
Tablets are expected to have a high battery life. Laptops can run a bit shorter.

>You complained.
No I said it was driving better hardware (for a tablet obviously why would this need to be explained) with an OS not built for mobile devices as opposed to say an ipad pro or google pixel. At least we agree it outperforms them.

sorry, I missunderstood you. All I said in the beginning was that you can get better batterylife out of a modern laptop. The tablet comparision was just aimed at the formfactor.

Fair enough. I wonder if they'll be able to get more out of a revision or attempt to address some form factor complaints instead.

I'm not to intrested in buying one in the next 2 years or so since I'm happy with my current laptop but I would hope for better batterylife since the size is already pretty nice.

Been really enjoying it, only problem is how load it gets under load, but being a remote game developer, I need the power and the form factor is so nice.

He's lying, that's how.

>mac os instead of ios
there is no such ipad though
