Google is simply better than all the other search engines. That's a fact. The only downside to google as a search engine in purely functional terms is the recent move towards censorship (e.g. no porn without explicit search and no option to disable this mode, censoring cp and many sites that may have "child abuse" content, avoiding placing 'hateful' content above others) makes some searches awkward.
Besides that, its superior at the job it's supposed to do.

Thing I hate about google is that if I'm searching for info about a book google will send the same boring pages, amazon, abebooks, the guardian nytimes, bunch of sites they make money advertisting... but if I search for images on a book I get links to a lot of interesting blogs and forums.
The thing that killed off blogging is that google stopped linking to them on the first page of search results, they're still around but there a lot fewer.

they had to, 10 years ago entire "careers" were formed called SEO (search engine optimization). Where pajeets and niggerclass idiots would create 1000000 blogs linking to their target site. Since google indexed all these blogs, the sites would get "optimized" to the top of the search list. It was weaponized auto-blogging, where everyone was fucking doing it, eventually it didn't do anything but fill google with useless fake blogs.
