Just spit, but yeah, basically. You also get a breakdown of inherited traits and such.

For example, I know that I have an increased risk of Altzeimers in old age. This kind of sensitive information is behind a few warnings though.

If you have the money, it's kind of cool. Knowing I'm not lactose intolerant is useful, practical knowledge, for example. You can use the raw data to figure other stuff out about yourself on the internet.

Well yeah.

Promethease is the best as it's going to get but be careful. First of all, it costs $5 to run the report. Second, it tells you everything. Like, there's too much information... If you get paranoid easily, I'd say avoid it.. It talks about random SNPs and how they're related to certain diseases...they can say certain traits are "negative" when it fact, it's based on a tiny/restricted amount of research..also.. they might have contradictory findings.. for example I had a higher chance of some weird type of cancer, but it also told me I had a lower chance for cancer overall.. it told me I had an increased likelihood of having autism (kek), OCD, schizophrenia, even alzheimers but it contradicted all of those things later on in the report..

If you're going to do it.. take it with a grain of salt.
