APOLOGIZE

APOLOGIZE

AND SHOW YOUR GRATITUDE

Can there just be a single politics general containment thread? I'm getting tired of hiding this shit.

/gpg/ - Tech in Politics General

They've literally always been able to.

excuse me, i'm expecting some "thank you's"

because Sup Forums has been shivering in fear and panic for weeks about this. and Trump just saved you.Trump is your savior. Trump is your hero, and your commander in chief.

A GOD

Um hes allowing isps to sell our data and were supposed to apologize?

sorry OP here i saw this on pol and i thought trump was doing the opposite of what he's actually doing so i came to troll you.

you fucking faggots don't want to catch pedos and terrorists? what the fuck is wrong with you? get with the program and get on the trump train.

Go drink bleach or something.

>Implying this is for the sake of national security and that crime can be stopped by looking at someone's browsing history

America. Lol

You need to be less obvious with your bait bro

you cucks voted for him, you get the aftermath

never trust a Republican with something they don't understand

This is literally all just meaningless WAH TRUMP conjecture, ISPs have been selling data for years and these current rules haven't even been in place half a year. Nothing is changed.

Did your mother have any children that were not born retarded?

they have been fucking you behind your back, but now they tell it to your face

he's the only one that gives a fuck about protecting the US lately. and yeah, you can stop crime by databasing peoples internet activity and looking for various patterns.

if this was bait, would i be fucking TELLING you it's bait? jesus christ.

yes, fucking nine of them. i'm not retarded.

dude, fuck off with that stupid "get rid of privacy for the sake of national security" bullshit

you probably think weed is a dangerous drug too

This

>say theyve always been able to sell data before and after the bill and the media is blowing this way out of proportion
>"fuck off republishit"
>say theyve always been able to sell data even and Trump repealing it still doesn't stop it from happening
>"okay aging liberal hippie douche, no one cares"
REEEEE
>I don't want to hear news if it involves someone I don't like
Get a grip.

>weed
muh cartels

The NSA already does this with or without your previous privacy rules.

all drugs are dangerous. a few people can handle drugs. most can't. so in order to improve the quality of the population we prohibit from them things that could have a demoralizing influence. honestly, we need to ban pornography as well.

do you seriously believe that there is something to fear if there's nothing to hide? the time will come that you will be known to the finest point of character, as if god himself could look into your heart.

>This guy goes to a site known to hate jews and israel, add him to the special list of suspected terrorists

spoken like a true cuckservative

It says trump sold our data

He admitted he's trolling and he's really shitty at it.

not an argument.

it was never 'your' data.

>>goes to the most active site on the internet with 50 million uniques per month

i'm confident that an index of my Sup Forums posting will vindicate me as a loyal citizen.

Your jewish owners disagree, a good citizen loves israel and wants to increase reparations for the 60 million killed by evil aryans like you.

OY VEY

this country is a joke

thank you based orange man

That's what your jew elite owners want. If you disagree, I'm sure you'll be fine with a sudden addition to the no fly list.

>he fell for the jewish owners meme

it is we who own the jews.

This.

Rothschild monkeys!

Which country?

who are these men, can I get a quick rundown?

read it again faggot

...

thats literally what it says, you asshat

oh shit

I'm sorry, is there not enough videocard and Ryzen-sucks threads for you?

op is retarded and cannot read

abandon thread

>all drugs are dangerous.

Everything is dangerous in too high excess, even fucking water. You need to know the proper dosage, be vary of not getting addicted, and make sure you use the right product (ie. not something that was tempered to be more lethal/addictive). As long as you follow those three rules, no drug is dangerous.

The problem here is that since they are banned, the only way to get them is from questionable sources. And because of that you'll never know its exact composition, nor the proper dosage, leading to addiction at best, fatalities at worst.

...

>weed
>addiction
>fatalities

>lying press in charge of fearmongering

we have too many people to deal with the people who have problems with drugs as individuals, so it has to be banned across the board. you want a society with more trust and freedom? get rid of non-whites.

and i disagree strongly with the technical points about drug quality. that really has nothing to do with people getting addicted or not. they're either addictive individuals or they're not. dosage isn't going to alter that, even taking E pills which have meth in them instead of just MDMA or MDA isn't going to make a difference. some people can take drugs recreationally, have a great time, and give it not another thought. they don't crave to repeat.

i mean yeah, fentanyl fatalities and shit happen. but who gives a fuck desu.

now excuse me, i have to soak several cotton rods from benzedrex inhalers in gatorade to get the propylhexadrine out. god i wish i could just buy adderall at the drug store.

We all know it was a Canadian that made this post. Can't japanese moot ban the whole country?

Why can't trump just carpet bomb all of canada, nobody important lives there.

This is obvious bait but congrats on your entry into the Guinness Book of Fucking Autists

Is Sup Forums full of Macbook using dipshits?

This law never went into effect and would have been easily circumvented with a ToS agreement you would never read, meaning nothing would have changed. ISPs have been selling your ANONYMOUS data ever since the internet was created.

You know youre posting on a website dedicated to hacking into little girls' and celebrities' snapchat accounts, right? The one founded by the famoush Sup Forums hacker? You probably didnt know that the deaded Gamergate comes from here, too. Some very influential people went to the UN to warn us of these "people", if you can even call them that.
Im sure you dont know this either, but there is a certain sub-chan here, called "Pole", where actual neo-nazis discuss the hunting of jews. Their symbol is an actual nazi-cross. Scary.

You've probably been on several "keep an eye on" lists since you started posting here, cunt.

this is the normiest post i've seen all day. i wish i had some kind of award for you.

Except that the "ability to do so" would have expired this year until the Trunp/Republicans repealed the directive that forced the expiration.

You can have invasive as hell searches and seizures, but shit slips through the cracks--it always slips through the cracks. People just get smarter and eventually beat the system. You can't protect everybody, so create something so invasive.

Not to mention, companies haven't exactly been very diligent with people's information--they get hacked all the fuck time, so now you're whole life is at the whim of a company's lackluster security.

And then they would just add it to their ToS.

You really think this shit would have changed anything? This is just politics and you're a unwitting pawn in it.

the world isn't perfect. complicated times we live in.

not dangerous, but used by fucking losers for sure

It was the lesser of two cucks

Donald Drumpf is sure is a retard as well as his drumpfkins

Id rather have someone be up front rather than lie to me

Fuck drumpf desu

God tier bait, user. Seriously, it's rare to see such a perfectly crafted post
nowadays, especially in an age when blatant shitposts always get overwhelming response, so there's less incentive to put such effort into the craftsmanship. Glad to see the art isn't dead.

To be fair porn is genuinely bad for your brain and your dick long term

Only 3DPD porn is bad, 2D is good for you.

For people that actually want to talk about the topic at hand:

The bill was a government regulation that prevented ISP's from doing the same business that companies like Google and Facebook already do. ISP's didn't like the fact that they could collect browsing data but do nothing with it, while Zuck and Google mine the fuck out of everyone's data and sell it to whoever will pay for it. Google's is able to skirt the regulation even though Google serves an ISP role in several cities. The ISP side of the business isn't legally allowed to do it but they just don't give a shit because they're big enough to have many other business lines where they *can* legally get the data.

So now Comcast and Time/Warner/Spectrum/whatever they are now are allowed to sell your info too.

people choose to use Google

your ISP is usually not an option for rural and suburban retards.

Not only haven't they been in place half a year, they've NEVER been in place. The rule change half a year ago wasn't supposed to go into effect for another 6 months from today. They repealed a rule that literally had never been in effect.

It's common practice for an outgoing administration to adopt a bunch of rules and laws that are impractical just so the incoming administration looks bad when they repeal them, which is exactly what we have here.

>now

Nothing changed. This is just political bullshit where low info and low IQ Redditors can scream about how Drumpf is killing the internet despite the law doing jack shit and not even coming into effect yet.

...you can't add something illegal to your ToS to circumvent the law. Especially when you'd be considered a utility and there'd be a mountain of protections against such a thing.

Wrong.

Former porn user here, I can attest that online pornography was a very negative influence in my life. Granted, getting rid of pornography isn't going to make your life great automatically, but I do have a girlfriend now whereas before I never had a girlfriend and was hooked on porn

Provide proof.

>weed

It depends on who uses it, though. But you're a fucking retard if you think it's harmless.

>Buy trumps internet history.
>Publish his ladyboy fetish.
>Privacy returns to the people.

>ITT: Shills believing that the state will protect them from the state

>implying trump has ever even fucking SEEN porn in his life

probably not

That's an interesting perspective to take on the topic, but do you think it's a fair comparison? An ISP and a website are two very different services (excluding your example of Google as an ISP, which is an entirely valid point). ISP's are already paid a lot of money by their customers, so wouldn't it be reasonable that a part of that service should include data privacy?
I figured it was generally acceptable that Google and Facebook make their money from selling information because they're "free" services that people volunteer to use. An ISP is something people need in order to access any websites, data peddling or otherwise.

Too bad the internet shouldn't be considered a utility

>The FCC regulations would have required broadband companies to get permission from their customers in order to use their “sensitive” data — including browsing history, geolocation and financial and medical information — to create targeted advertisements.

Which would be achieved via Terms of Service.

We're done here.

>President Trump signed a bill on Monday repealing internet privacy rules passed last year by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that would have given internet users greater control over what service providers can do with their data, a White House spokeswoman confirmed.

>The FCC regulations would have required broadband companies to get permission from their customers in order to use their “sensitive” data — including browsing history, geolocation and financial and medical information — to create targeted advertisements.

All they do is add it to their ToS that you give them permission to use your shit and ta da it's like it was before the FCC regulation. It's literally nothing.

>I'll call him drumpf because I don't want anyone to know I'm hooked on porn and can't leave it behind

Thanks to this, my brother will not be able to come here when he graduates university like I did.

May Allah strike him down.

Yeah other than the fact that Google runs the OS on most of the worlds smartphones. Sure you can use Apple, but what are your other options if you don't want to pay the Steve Jobs tax for your phone?

...

...

There are plenty of other OS for the same device

>getting mad over "Drumpf"

Do you need a safe space?

Yeah, They would have just added it in their ToS and refused to provide you service unless you agreed

?

>combining SJW and Democrat opinions

What's the difference at this point?

Agreed. That's what makes the bait so effective. The best way to lure people is to casually juxtaposistion one or two relatively agreeable/true statements alongside something completely outrageous and incendiary. Anyone can post a bunch of offensive bullshit, and anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together will instantly just write the whole post off. The best bait is posts where you can't say with certainty whether or not they're being serious or not.

How do you know?

haha good juan
upbote
keep em classy /r/t_d

Not mad at all (too busy making America great again! Not really, but whatever), just pointing out hypocrisy.

beefy. cheesy. glory hallelujah.

You're a passive aggressive little cunt, you know that?

>he's a communist
Okay Karl.

Everybody is a passive-agressive cunt now. Welcome to the 2017.

Oh I'm 100% behind "Government and big business GIT OUT" when it comes to data privacy, but the problem is that you can't put the mushroom cloud back into the metal container. There are companies whose entire business model revolves around collecting information on as many people as possible and selling that info to the highest bidder. Started back in the late 90's with Acxiom, then came the search engine wars and Google saw the value in doing it too. This stuff has been going on a really long time. Hell the original design of the internet intended that everyone have a publicly routable IP address and that all systems could talk with one another. Privacy was an afterthought.

i'd put money on it. where the fuck would he have seen it? he's never not getting laid. he's had models and strippers on his dick since his bar mitzvah. he's never had a single beer or single cigarette. he probably thinks anyone that looks at porn is a poorfag piece of shit, because why not just go to a strip club and get a lap dance, or get an exotic escort/hooker?

did you just call me a communist?
