Didn't see a /voc/ thread in the catalog so I guess it falls on me to make one. Obligatory english:
A soliloquy (from Latin solo "to oneself" + loquor "I talk") is a device often used in drama when a character speaks to himself or herself, relating thoughts and feelings, thereby also sharing them with the audience, giving off the illusion of being a series of unspoken reflections.[1] If other characters are present, they keep silent[2] and/or are disregarded by the speaker.

Some Finnish: Hei alijohtaja. Luuletsä että ku persesittiäinen kytänny viikkotolkulla siinä norsun perseen reunalla, ni luuletsä et se ois tienny et se jonain päivänä lentää siitä helvettiin. Ku se norsu pierasee. Se mitää taloo rupee siihe rakentaa.

5/10 finnish, you can understand most of what you're saying and you know how to pronounce ä.
Guess I'll do the english then: vocaroo.com/i/s0ixJC2OIp9k

Latin:

Introibo ad altare dei, ad Deum qui laetificat iuventutem meam. Iudica me Deus, et discerne causam meam de gente non sancta; ab homine iniquo et doloso erue me. Quia tu es Deus, fortitudo mea, quare me repulisti, et quare tristis incedo, dum affligit me inimicus? Emitte lucem tuam et veritatem tuam: ipsa me deduxerunt et adduxerunt in montem sanctum tuum, et in tabernacula tua. Et introibo ad altare Dei: ad Deum qui laetificat juventutem meam. Confitebor tibi in cithara, Deus, Deus meus: quare tristis es anima mea, et quare conturbas me? Spera in Deo, quoniam adhuc confitebur illi, salutare vultus me, et Deus meus.

Also requesting someone to sing this. (Or just talk, that's fine too.)

vocaroo.com/i/s0m5ItSRWEiQ

I don't think it's that you have a strong accent, it's more that you're just not pronouncing most words correctly.
The words you did pronounce properly had barely any accent at all.

How long have you been speaking English?

vocaroo.com/i/s1V5h0dzwBsB

>How long have you been speaking English?
I had english lessons in school but i didn't really study anything there. I think i began something that you can call "study" a year ago. But i didn't have any speaking practice yet.

I see, that would explain it. You're not bad, taking that into consideration.

Can you please point which words i pronounced incorrectly? Almost all of them or something?

vocaroo.com/i/s1qGO0Ipzktg

"Relating" sounded like you missed the G. (Relatin')
"Audience" sounded like "Aww-dense". It should be more like "Aw-dee-ens".
"Series" soundes like "See-riss". It should be more like "Seh-ree-ess".
Those were the main ones I noticed. You also have a sort of weird tempo. As in, you sometimes talk a bit too fast, other times a bit too slow.

I can still easily understand you, so it's not a big problem. Just something to keep in mind if you want to improve.

is it harder than english grammar-wise?

That was really good mate.

Yeah, but the difference is not that significant. Got a few funny features here and there that might baffle an English speaker, but nothing crucial.

It is for me. English and Norwegian grammar are basically the same. French is different enough that it becomes challenging. But it's still not extremely complicated. They still use pronouns and a lot of the grammatical principles are similar. It's not a massive clusterfuck like Finnish or Turkish.

Sono tutte azioni che compio interiormente nell'enorme palazzo della mia memoria. Là dispongo di cielo e terra e mare insieme a tutte le sensazioni che potei avere da essi, tranne quelle dimenticate. Là incontro anche me stesso e mi ricordo negli atti che ho compiuto, nel tempo e nel luogo in cui li ho compiuti, nei sentimenti che ebbi compiendoli. Là stanno tutte le cose di cui serbo il ricordo, sperimentate di persona o udite da altri.

why not learn Spanish instead? French seems to be so outdated

French is, well, useful if you're going to talk to the French, and Spanish for Spaniards, simple as that. Keep in mind that Spanish is considered a lot easier than French though, so if you're not particularly experienced or keen, you might want to lean towards it.

Thanks.

It was the only foreign language that was offered at my school. But neither is particularly useful. I don't think I've ever met a Spaniard or a Frenchman irl.
