ublock works pretty well. Don't have to do any special configuration, it purges the ad tabs immediately.
I use ublock origin and it doesn't purge them for me at all.
I have tried it in multiple browsers too, so it's not just a botnet Chrome thing. Might have something to do with where I live, insufficient filters for my area or something cause they're always ads from my country.
