Ethologist here, all of your answers are wrong and quite laughable, you probably dont know what made humanity so successful, ill spoonfeed yall, its cumulative knowledge, which needs verbal or equivalent language in order to have a decent way of transmiting information, which in turn needs internal monologue, which in turn needs theory of mind, which needs self-awareness and recognition; we can define conciousness as both self awareness and theory of mind, there are several species that have these two and thus only need to keep developing language and then civilization
These animals are all other great apes, elephants, dolphins, orcas, and the eurasian magpie, all other animals are pretty much cartesian automatas, and represent no chance of even glancing at civilization
Now, dolphin and orcas are morphologically doomed and hve no real way of developing languge other than sonars or bioluminicence so they are discarded at least for 100 million years
Elephants have their trunks for manipulation and can develop language easily, problem being they are too specialized and unlike early humans who were omnivorous and gregarius elephants have no real need for further intelligence development, perhaps within some centuries climate change will introduce need for adaptation but they will most likely go extinct since they are not omnivorous, early humans went as far as consuming animal corpses and we still have the bacteria for it (thats why our farts smell so much), all great apes are decent candidates and the result would be similar to modern to modern humans so this isnt such an interesting option), last option is the eurasian magpie, a type of magpie (colored crow) of the corvid family, these animals are the only non mammals with self recognition and thory of mind which is super interesting when you consider that we used to think all complex thought came from the neocortex which only mammals have (this is why we used to believe other animals where incapable of emotions)
