dont you need to make it touch two of the prongs at the same time
Is it empty connector supposed to be like that?
yes that's normal also file down your nails
Well there's your problem. Is there a wire coming out behind it?
Make sure the part of the screwdriver you're touching with is conductive. Only the tip of the set I use are.
do the paper clip test on your PSU
Thats better?
Nope. There is not
Maybe i am touching thewrong pins?
Many motherboards have two power connections, do you have both of them connected? The second one may be 4-pin or 8-pin.
you have the right one on the picture
wtf retard
that's normal in every 24 pin, fuck off stop confusing him
take a pic of the entire motherboard with your power connectors connected & the psu
...
is the psu switch on?
are those ez debug LED lights turning on at all?
is it plugged in?
either your psu is completely dead or the motherboard is
do you have a way to test the psu?
...
Modular PSU? Check if the cables are inserted correctly PSU side. And check the power cables and the switch
Do any of those leds come on or is it completely unresponsive?
>thermaltake psu
probably dead psu
I was building a PC a couple years ago, I had everything connected but it just wouldnt post. I took everything back to the shop and he said the mobo was DOA
they replaced it for me and within a couple weeks I had a working computer
>putting a mb on an anti static bag
>which protect only on the inside while the outside is as "protective" as a carpet
disgusting.
check your psu.
connect the a green wire with a black wire. IF PSU turns on, psu is fine
Nothing works guys...
I ordered it from germany and i live in russia
I am so upset i wanna cry :(
I feel like i am cursed to have a working pc: router, laptop, and pc now - everthing works like shit or dowsnt work at all
>places motherboard ontop of a conductive bag
>tries to turn it on
>won't boot
>hmm wonder why
rely meks u fink
You do realize that you have to connect the two pins with the screwdriver in order to start the computer?... not just touch one pin...?
Also check the manual to make sure you're bridging the right pins
You need to use a powered screwdriver.
Welp, my bad... didn't read the thread and apparently you're connecting the right pins horizontally as the manual states.
Can't see anything wrong with how it's set up... in a last ditch effort maybe try a different medium to bridge the pins? Perhaps the screwdriver is chrome plated/painted?
I just tried a screwdriver which is used to test if there is electricity and it doesnt work either :(
test the power supply separately
youtube.com
>putting the MB on the antistatic bag
Ouch.
>Msi
wtf is this real
From the official MSI YouTube channel.
holy fuk
Kys
You too
>Intel
There is your problem. You should have waited for ryzen brah.
Could you guys please stop trolling? I am sad enough without it..
this is sorta true.
>op probably has a jumper in a bag somewhere
>A clip that you put on that completes the circuit.
BUT your pins are wrong The jumper for power is these two pins. Pic related
You can't jumpstart a car with a screwdiver either, can you?
You need to put 5 megavolts through those switches
zzzz.jpg
hey thats kinda a lot
wait
nigga wut are you doing
I always expect that he will throw an egg at the board at some point on this webm
At least I don't kill my MBs like a mouthbreathing retard.
Try re seating the ram better, those new ddr4 slots are terrible
this happened to me once
your psu->mobo cable isnt plugged in all the way. check both.
i know right now you're like "no im sure i pushed it as hard as i could" but this is 100% the problem, push it in until you hear an audible click. if you only hear a slight click or a quiet one then unplug it and try again, being sure that you're inserting it directly in and not at an angle.
Probably this. People who aren't used to building PCs are really scared to use force the first time around.
Your mobo can bend a little, don't be scared OP.
Try suck-starting a shotgun.
black poz dicks are much easier to find and suck.
>ram in the wrong socket
>antistatic bag under the motherboard
>AM4 MB for an intel CPU
I know this is a troll thread, but come on, make some efforts at least.
It actually depends on the motherboard
Is OP dumb, everyone is telling him to test the PSU
test the PSU dummy,
>B350M
>intel CPU
