>when Americans say they don't have an accent
When Americans say they don't have an accent
american accent sounds like a homosexual or something close
I've never understood people that claim they have no accent. Everyone has an accent, even those who speak perfect GA or RP. I guess it's some special snowflake syndrome.
no nigga that goes to either you or canada
americans sound like a literal retard speaking faster
We don't have an accent
They sometimes have threads where they discuss which American accent is the least accent-y. It is truly autistic
>American on voice chat sounded like an annoyingly loud 13 year old
>he was actually 32 years old
>5 americans in voice chat
>they all sound the same
>when people accent and dialect interchargeably
Americans are the most solipsistic people I have ever come across. It's fucking mind blowing
I think you mean yankees. And yes, they are extremely autistic about accents. "having an accent" (read: not speaking the artificial accent invented for television) is seen as lower class, so you have a choice between sounding like a nasally 13 year old or (god forbid) actually talking like where you're from and being called white trash. We have the same thing in the south and I'd imagine the same problem exists elsewhere in the world but anything north or west of the south rev it up to maximum autist levels.
>ITT European inferiority complexes
wew lads
Feels great to not have an accent and be from the greatest country in the world
Good lad. The south is the only part of the US with culture and your accents are bearable.
What is it like being mute?
It's because all of our "aristocratic" accents are totally, literally dead. All regional speech left in America is what was formerly working class. I'm proud of my southern accent also but it is partially true that it's "white trash". It's not just true here, look up the Boston brahmin accent. Really really pleasant on the ears but completely dead, so all you're left with in Boston is "TV american" and "I PAHKED THE CAH IN THE CAHPAHK AT HAHVUD"
Can americans immitate british english accent ?
The only time I've seen an American actor well recieved for doing it in a movie in Britain was Robert Downey Jr in Sherlock Holmes. Otherwise the British have a lot easier time doing ours than vice-versa. There are quite a few British actors that play Americans and do an awful job of it, though. All in all I think the Irish play us way better.
Badly
>muh heritage
pathetic
Oh please. I watch British TV a lot and you bring in Irish actors to play us all the time.
How did you get that from his post you fucking mongrel.
There is nothing worse than an Australian accent.
Pair it with their funny words and they just sound retarded.
>join euro server
>people are speaking english
>say something in english
>silence for 20 seconds
>suddenly everyone starts talking in different languages instead
Rude honestly.
You're just jelly that everyone loves our accent and everyone hates yours
You all sound like the Simpsons Australians
>solipsistic
