When does everybody realise most people use 600 dollar for their entire build?

when does everybody realise most people use 600 dollar for their entire build?
most people don't care about 600 dollar cpu's or gpu's. if you turn the settings to medium, mostly you barely see it, but the fps easily doubles. low end hardware is where its at.

wow i never thought of it that way b4 op thanks for sharing

ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT?

$450 and some change.

athlon x860k
8gb ram
r9 380
1tb hd
24" 1080p monitor

nothing spectacular but it works for what I need it to. play Skyrim with 100+ mods, tomb raider 45-60 fps.

although I will eventually upgrade because CPU sucks ass at video rendering which I recently got into. maybe ryzen 5 or an I5 that supports ddr3 ram so I don't have to upgrade. who knows.

huee you get it!

try this:

amd athlon II x3 450 : 10$ (aliexpress.com)
8 gb ram ddr3: 50$
am3 motherboard: 60$ (secondhand, try to get it with ram combo)
psu 500w: 15$ (brandless one, they cost nothing)
amd r9 280x: 100$ (second hand)
cpu cooler: 10$ (aliexpress)

245$ can run anything at low settings.
just overclock the hell out of it.

why does video rendering still use a cpu?
3d renderes use a gpu nowadays.
much faster for raytracing.

>3d renderes use a gpu nowadays.
The fuck you're talking about?
GPU rendering isn't as good as cpu rendering, not now, not ever.
Maybe you're thinking about using workstation gpu, like quadro and fire gl

dude, what kind of scenes are you working on?
if you need more then 4gb vram, you're doing something wrong
maybe not use subdivision x1000.

gpu rendering is better and faster. you can even do more background stuff.

this has been proven to be wrong numerous times before. ask any streamer or anyone who makes YouTube videos for a living. if you don't understand why...

tl;Dr

>lurk more

streamer/youtube for a living

that is video rendering you moron.
NOT 3D

mine runs pretty much anything on medium.

valley benchmark on max settings is 43-45fps

i dont have a need for all the bells and whistles. my GPU is good for me because I won't be gaming in 2k or higher. even though it does look better and porn looks better, it's not a need for me.

eyecandy = distraction!

t. 3rd worlder
I bought a 1080ti, an IX Hero, and a 7700k last week :^)

anyone else excited for maki's birthday?

so, let me get this right...
they don't have to render the video after they edit it in something like, IDK Sony Vegas?

>kys

are you so retarded that you think that rendering is only in 2d for videos?

i'm talking about 3d, you know maya and autocad and blender kind of stuff. raytracing and stuff like that.

NOT YOUTUBE OR SONY VEGAS, THAT IS 2D, ITS FLAT.

good for you, other people have different priorities or simply don't give a shit about having the top of the line products.

>IX Hero
cringe name desu

why tf do people care what other's spend their money on? I'm gonna keep gladly buying the best hardware available and no poor and their "b..but muh price/performance ratio" doctrine is going to convince me otherwise.

He is saying, that after you render your 3d video, you still need a video editor to, you know, edit it.
You just don't straight publish a rendered video you know

Patient gaming is my jam. Today's cheap hardware plays 2012's hits on ultramaxibest.

sony vegas after 3d rendering,
that is only 1/99th the time spend.

also get a better rendering video editing suite.
it should be able to do both at the same time.

are (YOU) so retarded that you came to a thread about low budget systems and got all autistic about GPU rendering for 3D knowing full well that this requires a different line of GPU built specifically for that type of rendering and is clearly not even remotely related to being budget friendly?

yes, you are that fucking retarded.

you care yoo if you post like "I BOUGHT THISS"
we're just giving the "money waste" opinion.

I really really like Maki.

i g-guess we'll just have to f-fight for her

no it doesn't require a special gpu

if you need those, you are doing something wrong in your scene.
unless you have a scene with content of multiple people, but then you also have such a budget.

>doesn't require a special GPU

you never stated what the task was it is performing.

and you've still not addressed the fact that this is well beyond being a budget system. the whole purpose of this thread.

...

...

>he thinks he needs a quadro to do 3d rendering
do your homework

i stated rendering. anything can do that. even a raspberry pi.

what GPU does the pi have?

I'll wait...

some arm cpu gpu combo with broadcom doing the gpu, but its to make the point that a 45 dollar gpu can render too. of you don't believe that, you need to do your homework.

quadro cards mainly add vram and support.
you don'y need the support, you can do thst yourself, and you don't need to vram in normal scenes. otherwise/ just render in parts.

try doing a render with your own pc's gpu, whatever you have it'll work.

do that bmw blender benchmark for example.

the ghetto af used market is where it's at

>mfw you will never ever buy an 8 core sandy bridge with mobo + 64 gb of ram for $160

CPU rendering is better

/thread

you ran out of arguments and now ur just spouting ut opinion, cute!

cpu rendering is worse. its slow and makes the whole system unusable while its rendering.
