I've got 2 hours to waste until my next train so let's have a little fun

Ask a westerner who has been traveling through Ukraine for the last several weeks anything.

I should address a few topics beforehand though
1) Slavsquat is definitely not a meme. I've even seen qt girls squatting
2) Tracksuits are also not a meme. They're real and bountiful
3) Slav toilets are just a hole in the ground. No seat and no toilet paper in sight
4) Everything is crazily cheaper. Like unimaginablely cheap
5) The water gives you severe diarrhea
6) Babushkas are everywhere
7) 90% of the time I try to post on Sup Forums I get a notice that my country is blocked from posting. Only rarely do I find wifi or 4g connections that allow me to post

So let's begin

So Ukraine is a shithole? Nothing new desu

How many encounters have you had with pickpockets and muggers, scammers and people demanding bribes or threatening to fuck you up for seemingly no reason at all?

>ukraine

no such thing

I wouldn't say it's a shithole. There's plenty of gems, the girls are pretty, life is super cheap, the people are nice, and the food is good. Infrastructure and some social norms are backwards though. It's like this country is stuck socially, fashionably, and culturally in 1991.

Post some pics brah

That's sounds exactly like my experience in Ukraine 5 years ago. Good to see that some things don't change.

No encounters with scammers, pickpocketters, muggers, extortions, bribes, etc. I feel more safe here than in my own home city desu. Only minor problem I have is taxi drivers charging me higher than normal rates and saying that they don't have change but then again the total fee is like 4€ for a 15 minute ride so it doesn't bother me much.

I've got plenty to post but I'm posting from mobile as my wifi is blocked from posting on Sup Forums. I'll try to upload some but it will be slow

Have some slav toilets :^)

Apparently the largest KFC in the world is in Kiev

Maiden was kind of cool but for a national icon is was quite dirty.

This is the international bus station in Lviv. Didn't even have paved roads

Holy shit it looks exactly like it was 5 years ago. They still use roads made by interwar Poland in 30s.

The old town was quite nice though.

To be fair some of our roads are almost untouched since Germans left them over 70 years ago.
Picrel- A18. The left line has been rebuild but the right one didn't.

I saw EU flags everywhere even though they can't into EU

I remember that road. That was the most painful 45 minute ride of my life

gotta fake it till you make it

>political LARPing

did you see any street hookers?
fuck any?

Gee I wonder who built it.
Were there people selling old commie army uniforms and other antiques there? I bought a commie hat back there.

They even had a pro EU concert while I was there

[butthurt]austrians and italians[/butthurt]

So except prices and toilets its like poland

Got it

Sure :^)

And Czechia 2bh

Gross

Yes I saw plenty of hookers but no I didn't fuck any, unless you count buying dinner and drinks as paying for sex.

In Kiev, yes. I didn't see any commie stuff in Lviv. I saw more white power symbols and Swastikas than hammer and sickles. Pic related is a big market street in Kiev full of commie and nazi stuffs. Probably all fakes though.

>4g
>ukraine
Comrade, hohol I see in you.

Stop bullying Ukraine you prick

>the girls are pretty

Because the ugly ones simply do not reproduce, they die out.

>life is super cheap

Because it's a shithole. Good places to live are never cheap.

>the people are nice

kek

>and the food is good

Tastes like shit

Sehr gross

>hookers
>buying dinner and drinks

What did he mean by this?

I'm not, just stating facts

He invited a girl for a dinner and they ended up in bed I guess

It may not be 4g but it's something and it works. I paid 10UAH (or about 0,40€) for 500mb

FÜR DICH

He hooked up with a girl after taking her to a restaurant for a date, I guess.

We have commerical LTE for years so your map is bs

t. R*ssian diaspora

Odessa was quite nice

>UK
>France
>Italy
>Spain
AHAHAHAHAHAH

There were homeless and stray animals EVERYWHERE. Stray cats and dogs would wander around the cities and ignore humans. Sometimes they even rode the trams/buses and no one gave a shit. Was pretty odd

Idk why everyone always bully Ukraine

How were the prices there? I remember it used to be ~5 UAH for a beer and ~10 UAH for a pack of cigarettes. Unreal but probably this changed due to inflation

Took a 10 hour train ride from Kiev to Odessa. About 4 hours into the journey we stopped at some town so babushkas could sell us local fish and baked goods.

Crazy cheap. I remember buying a huge plate of pasta in a restaurant for about 1,20€. I had a steak dinner and I also paid for another person in an upscale restaurant and paid less than 10€. A loaf of bread was 3UAH. I don't smoke but I think a pack of cigarettes is 12UAH compared to the 5,90€ in my country. The Lviv metro cost 2UAH to ride. A 500km train ticket was about 8€

Okay, I'm going to go board my train now. Ask me some more questions and I'll answer them once I get seated.

now 10-15 and 15-20
you can find cheaper tho, but they're shit

homeless are a real fucking problem (i'm from Lviv), but in my town not so much
Kiev tho... every fucking tube station

what are you doing there

>Zhmerynka
meme town

>The Lviv metro
ehhh wut
you mean Lviv Tram, right? Because Lviv Metro is also a meme

squat toilets are much better to poop from, and you're expected to bring your own TP with you.

now the part that they dont have doors, and you see old man balls, and shit hanging out the ass is kinda lame.

former ukie reporting in.

Gobble stone > asphalt

but they should be used only for peeing

Proper new gobble stone > asphalt

Is that the Andrey spusk street?

Decided to see it for myself. I've already seen most of Europe but never Ukraine. Thought about it one day and booked a ticket the next. I like a bit of adventure in my life.

Yeah I mean tram. Metro in my language means any public transportation that uses rail.

Oh trust me, I haven't yet once dared to poop in public here.

So they're basically horizontal urinals?

i mean, every shitty restaurant has a proper toilet, at least in my town
>using public toilets in slavstates
>ever

I think so. Can't google it as im on a slow mobile but its the famous street for markets and shopping.

that's implied

hell, even old worn out stone streets are better than anything asphalt can make. unless cunts steal the bricks.

They have paid toilets for pooping.
Do they still not put lids on drinks at fast food joints if its not to go?

and whats your background? are you a ukrainian national? what brings you to ukraine?

> having irritable bowel syndrome in ukraine

just go to fucking Pyalnia and sit in toilet, you'll have a good poop and troll whole bunch of people who come there to take a leak

Ukraina you mean shit copy of Poland?

Is this the one behind the train station ?

There's still some burn marks from the protests.

IBS with public squat toilet and no doors rofl.

I'm a German who grew up in America. I didn't eat fast food so I'm not sure about the lids. I just wanted to see something new and to travel.

why don't you go to donbass and shoot up some commies

why Ukrainians so racist? I dated one and all of her friends disliked blacks too.

Also, is it true that women approach western looking men in bars to seduce him for a visa?

They usually with doors. In some rural places toilets always empty.

>why Ukrainians so racist? I dated one and all of her friends disliked blacks too.
Bydlo males

>Also, is it true that women approach western looking men in bars to seduce him for a visa?
Bydlo females.

Yeah, behind Kiev Vokzalna. At Maiden you could still see burn marks on buildings, bullet holes in buildings, and grafitti. Some of the government buildings have fresh paint lines covering the burns such as the white building on the left.

poetry

I value my life.

I don't know too much about the racism but a few girls I met enjoyed saying the word "nigger."

And let's just say it was really easy getting women once they knew I was a westerner. I tried out tinder while in Ukraine and I had to do was state my westernness and I literally matched with every one I swiped right on. I'm a 20 year old solo traveling guy so usually they just were curious and wanted to know why the hell I was in Ukraine. A big problem is that almost no one in Ukraine speaks decent English so the language barrier is a problem.

1. Are you handsome ?

2. Do you speak any Slavic language?

going off on this, what does it feel like to be in a country that's at war with itself?

where you from lad?

where was your favourite place?

did you have to get a visa?

that map is really old

I wouldn't say I'm ugly nor handsome. I would say I'm average plus some. But the thing is that I look quite Germanic and aryan and this is what catches people's attention. I also dress nicely and western. I literally had a girl come up to me in a bar because she assumed I was foreign.

I do not speak any slavic languages, only English, German, and a little french. I found more babushkas that spoke German that English.

I honestly see no sign of war in the west or south. Would never have known. However, I do see lots of men traveling around in military uniforms and big deployment bags.

I'm German born but my parents emigrated to the US so I grew up there. Lviv was by far my favourite place in Ukraine. Odessa is a close second. I thought the beach in Odessa would be nice but it's dirty and lots of wastes potential. The city is awesome though.

Just letting you guys know that I am on the train now with bad connection so if I stop posting it's because I can't connect.

Any others anons willing to visit Ukraine this summer? I could accompany you for free.

wew lad this is Sup Forums
But I actually was thinking about that, prices are nice and I really need to get out of here for a while.

How are the universities there,
Do you know

I need to go back. Its been... 16 years.

But I dont have enough time off. I cant do a 2 week stay. I need to go for at least a month, maybe 3 weeks.

Did you push a baby carriage down a set of stairs?

Have you squatted and smoked and gambled with the Russians in Donetsk yet?

A Lot of blacks and indians(true indians from India).
I didn't get it.

...

How much did lodging cost per week? Where did you stay (hotel, hostel, airbnb, camping)?

I will definitely be returning. I have had such a fun time while here. I didn't get to see or do nearly as much as I would have liked.

I like your courage.

Unfortunately at this time I'm not allowed into eastern cities like Donetsk.

Airbnb and staying with a friend. I only rented full private apartments and spent between 10-20€ a night. All of the airbnbs were modern and clean with central locations.

OP did you travel alone and just go to hostels or what?

All of my traveling so far has been solo. I stayed in private Airbnbs at night. Never felt lonely at all because the people here are so friendly and open and the girls were actually approachable unlike in the west.

it's bullshit I using 4g as I write this

What's interesting to do in Lviv?

Do the people you see there hate Russia?

How does he know that?

Haha. This looks worse than rural China.

By talking to people? People love to talk about their feelings.

>those buses
lmao

What's wrong with Etalons?
