This, but ignore what it says about HTTPS Everywhere.

HTTPS Everywhere is goat.

user.js

It has a list and if it's not on the list it won't switch.
It's truly bulky and slows down the already comatose fox.
In order for Https E to work propper it would need to index the whole internet... imagine how slow your firefartz will be then.

>almost everyone recommends ublock or umatrix or both

I smell a shill

Any arguments aside from muh shills and muh hiding?

>avoid random agent spoofer
>recommendation: do not change user-agent!

why?

I'm only using it so I can access netflix through firefox on my linux laptop at college.

>shilling for free open-source software
Are you retarded?

.implying he has not found a way to monitize downloads

Ublock is faster than abp, umatrix is for autustic neets

...

It's okay to use these addons if they work for you and you know what you do. I just wanted to increase awareness about the flaws in some most used addons.

requestpolicy still works though, right? I want to get that again and it's been a few years

>don't change user-agent!
That's such a stupid recommendation. That's like submitting a bug report saying your computer crashes when you press the letter "f" on your keyboard and the developer just tells you not to press the letter.

Valid point, then next revision will have "No better alternative" in description.

Now info about referer.

Give yourself a shotgun blast to face, you fucking retard.

What's better about Smart HTTPS (revived)?

I just went and researched this.

HTTPS Everywhere runs off of a white list. The result is you get coverage on sites that are confirmed to support https.

Smart HTTPS queries the server to try and connect, and if it fails immediately redirects. Caches the whitelist so you don't have to keep querying.

It also has fall backs for under performing connections and incorrect loading.

Seems like a good choice thus far.

Make sure you get the revival version, much faster and won't be deprecated when Firefox turns off addons.

- chrome is a botnet
- vivaldi doesnt load pages first 3 minutes
- firefox lags as heck

what 2 do

Install firefox nightly and disable telemetry in about:config.

amazing, thanks

Iridium

on the front page

What?

If anyone interested, about:config this
datareporting.healthreport.uploadEnabled => false
datareporting.policy.dataSubmissionEnabled => false
toolkit.telemetry.enabled => false
toolkit.telemetry.unified => false

if I use umatrix do I need self-destructing cookies?

A few years ago I used HTTPS Everywhere with another add-on, I think it was called HTTPS Finder but I'm probably wrong on that. The two of these achieved similar functionality, but the developer of HTTPS Finder stopped working on the add-on.

Smart HTTPS seems to achieve similar functionality in one add-on. I'll give it a try.

qutebrowser

Don't forget about dom.enable_performance = false. It collects and sends data about performance of browser.

It's not a bad advice though.

thank

uMatrix can delete cookies and localstorage on sites where you blocked cookies, can even delete regular cookies every x minutes after last use.
Self-Destructing Cookies addon deletes cookies and localstorage when all tabs with given page are closed.

It depends on what you try to achieve, I personally use only uMatrix for cookies things.

Right. But this is part of Navigation Timing API. These performance data aren't sent to Mozilla, but every page you visit. Thanks for tip!

if only it had Tree Style Tabs and Stylish

>what is Secret Agent

He is paid by Google to smoothly transition the rest of Firefox users to Chrome, since addon look the same in both browsers, unlike Adblock Plus.

>using Autism Pro 7.0

The ultimate redpill is to use Firefox Nightly

>dont use noscript

Sorry, but umatrix doesnt break all scripts so fuck off.

You can set it to block them by default.
Add this rule: * * script block.

>having to edit the fucking rules in settings
>noscript does it by default
amazing

uMatrix doesn't assume you're autistic freetard. That's why it's better.

if it was better it would disable scripts at the same time

there is no reason not to.

Trash, tree tabs have a lot of errors on nightly

Yep, just like there is no reason NoScript would whitelist it's site and redirect you to it on every update.

better than allowing all scripts by default however

>all scripts by default however
Wut?
It disables all thirdparty scripts.
You can set it to disable all scripts.
It also block all iframes by default.

At least NoScript has a site

but not by default

Firefox doesn't have NoScript by default.
>Implying any addon has to have site other than github/lab/bucket and download page

>hurr dont install noscript which has what you want by default
>here edit the settings instead
>but firefox doesnt have it by default

God damnit man, id agree if µmatrix had it by default you might have leg to stand on

But nope.

install brave browser fagots

Why would you be shilling it 24/7 if it wasn't a botnet?
Avoiding the botnet is a perfectly good reason.

>le cloud meme

>muh default behavior
Don't install any addon if you want default behavior.
>having different opinion == shilling 24/7

>here install that addon and then edit the settings

>dont install that other one that does what you want by default

hurr durr are you only pretending

Shilling is shilling. Nobody asked you for a list of your botnet addons, yet here you are.

more like
>having different opinion && shilling 24/7

Microsoft Edge doesn't have these problems

Edge is pure spyware, ad server and redirector.

Ok, keep using NoScript until firefox turns off xpi addons or install palememe only to find 50% of your addons not working on it.
>Muh shills
Not an argument.

>Not an argument.
You're right. It's a factual observation that you're breaking the rules by advertising on Sup Forums.

t. sandeep from google

but i disabled noscript

Im just saying its retarded it does not do it by default

>my outdated addon doesn't work so I blame the browser
fucking kill yourself

>redpill
>software made by a bunch of SJW libtards

Don't think that's possible, OP.

Nice logo

Thanks! I replaced HTTPS Everywhere and removed Privacy Badger and the difference is real.

Is EFF really so incompetent?

They've got good ideas, but bad programmers.

Firefox is the best browser to date. I agree the uBlock Origin is the best. I'll have to try Smart HTTPS Revived (would it reduce CPU usage too?).

That's what happens when you let SJWs in.
