all the startpage users, how do you like using slow google with a fraction of its functionality? why bother? you know google still knows what you're clicking, right?

Startpages are aesthetic and for workflow, dumbass. Nobody querying google with their start page thinks that they are bypassing google's logging

gentoo
vim
surf
startpage
libreoffice
gimp
mpv
cmus
berklymail

i meant startpage search engine, not an actual start page

believe you me, nothing aesthetic about startpage and all it would do for workflow is slow you down

...

If you don't know what Startpage is, you're too fucking stupid to be on this board.

No, Google doesn't know what you're clicking because Startpage acts like a proxy between you and Google. On top of that, it also links directly to the websites, so not even Startpage itself knows where you clicked

if I startpage search "g catalog" and click the Sup Forums g catalog, I'm pretty sure google still tracked me in the end because Sup Forums, like most major websites, uses google analytics

Why so many people using LateX?
I never used it... What benefits it gives over libre office i.e.?

...

LaTeX is not an office program. You sound like a dilettante who mentions it to just sound cool but don't actually publish anything (nor do office work).

No, I don't, that's why I am asking.

Swap nightly to chrome and you can't get more generic than that.

Fuck off.

Since when is latex office?

It's only for Windick and it's one of the shittiest media players I've seen.

I would use GNU/Linux, but I hate how multiple distro developers keep reinventing the wheel, and the community favors GNOME instead of based KDE.

Face it, KDE interface/apps are better than those in Windows 10, GNU/Linux community is retarded not to embrace it. Ubuntu with KDE as DE would me me switch over.

Inb4 freedom of choice; it means nothing, just look at Windows or Mac.

Daily reminder that if you use anything else than StartPage you don't belong on Sup Forums

Edit hosts file, add this:

127.0.0.1 www.google-analytics.com
127.0.0.1 google-analytics.com
127.0.0.1 ssl.google-analytics.com

Done, now kys

I use KDE Neon. I agree KDE is very powerful, but some of it's defaults are annoying. Don't get me wrong I'm not a GNOME hater just because I use KDE, I love GNOME and even unity and think they're amazing DEs especially for those who aren't powerusers.
Also KDE tries to be too much like windows, I still haven't found a way to simply printscrn a selected part of my screen and place it in clipboard. And closing the screenshot dialog removes the captured image from the clipboard history for some reason. This small annoyance is why I actually prefer Unity and GNOME sometimes.

>Ubuntu with KDE
That's exactly what Kubuntu is. Or if you prefer the latest KDE with minimal software ootb, KDE Neon.
