I have a pcap file that I have analyzed and have found the Command and Control Server and I have found who the infected host is. The question I am given is "what is the final value that the command and control server returns to the infected host"

Anyone know how to find this in wireshark?

How do I install the Nvidia proprietary drivers for Fedora 26? I'm scared I'll mess something up

Early we had a discussion about blockAdblock to block the script, does anyone know how?

With uMatrix is easy, just block 1st party script, but to know which one how would i do that?
Also how would i create a script to share with everyone so they can do it with uMatrix?

Is any difference in the Windows 10 installation process when it's done on an SSD compared to a regular HDD?

Maybe some services aren't installed or something?

No.

reverse engineer the data structure of the packet?

Is there a text to speech software on Windows? I used to use it on OSX when I had a laptop.

I just want something to read long wikipedia articles to me.

yeah win10 on SSD doesn't auto schedule defrag on them. Win10 knows when you're using an ssd

Is a 20% overclock for a GTX 770 viable?

Yep, check the accessibility settings, look for Narrator. It's shit, but it does exist.

Is that a question or how to?

Is there a way to get that sweet Win8/10 task manager on Win7?

I'm running a dualboot and spending the vast majority of my time in Linux now, so I'm not bothered enough to actually upgrade Windows just for a task manager.

If you were going to go to that much trouble, why not just go 3rd party?

OK, thanks my dude.

Any free skype for business alternatives? (I want to login with my Office 365 domain account)

I remember when I was kid in the 90s I kept my first porn on a floppy disk. A single high resolution of a naked chick posing. I kept it in my pocket and would take it to my friends house and we would look at it.

Should I leave "Fast Startup" ON? I recently realized it's been turned on in the options since that latest Windows 10 update. While it's indeed really nice to have my computer be completely ready in under 10 seconds I'm a bit paranoid.

I read into it a bit and some people are having problems with it but none of this concerns me. Thoughts? What should I do? I already have a SSD anyway so startups were already rather fast.

Fast Startup can cause problems on some systems with bugged UEFI.
It's usually not harmful to leave it on, but it's the first thing that I turn of on a system that has boot issues.

Leave it on.
The only reason to disable it is if you are going to be dual booting.

Gimp is to Photoshop as _________ is to Illustrator

Krita

Perfect, thank you user

Hey, so my speakers started buzzing, and its obviously the cables as moving my subwoofer around or messing with the cables stops it for a while, I was wondering what kind of cables I'd be looking for to replace the ones going from the subwoofer to the speakers, the braided ones.

What's a good book/site that can teach me java/php/sql/ruby enough to get a simple job if I have no coding experience but 2 very basic C classes

Why bother with that task manager when process explorer and process hacker exist?

There is no downside of it.

It just never turns your computer off and suspends it instead.

First, make sure any AC power cables next to the speaker cables are crossing at a right angle so there is no crosstalk between the power and audio signals.

Uhhh, all the cables came in their rubber sleeves, does how they're positioned really matter?

What the fuck?
You mean, the speakers have power cables, which are bundled with the audio lines???

Alright, thanks, but wouldn't turning it off put less of a strain on my components in the long run? Will that reduce the life span of any of my components?

Unless you have an SSD from 2012, no.

What's a good way to run a PPC OS on an x86 machine? I want to run Mac OS 9 but I don't have an old Mac and I don't want to buy one. I have access to Windows 7, Debian, and OS X as a host OS.

Thanks.

I want to really start learning about linux. I've got an old T420 running a relatively new version of Ubuntu that I've been using for months, and I also recently got pic related. Should I just read through this shit and use my pc as I go?

I want to make and install a custom linux OS for an old device (such as the one in pic related). How do I go about doing this?
Where do I begin?
I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to linux.

I dunno jack shit, I linked the speakers and you should be able to see all the cables, I could take some pictures if necessary

Just move the cables that run from the audio source (phone,DAC,TV,etc), and the cables from the amplifier to the speakers, away from any other cables.

Why is the tip of my penis burning after jacking off?

I watch porn on a Dell Laptop with an Intel i7.

my main desktop rig's GPU died. it was a Nvidia 660 TI. i am poorfag and can't replace the GPU for two months and all I have are three GPU's I've in my scrapbin. the three GPU's are,
a Nvidia GT 9800, a low power Nvidia GeForce 430, and a low power Nvidia GeForce 220.
which one of these three would be the overall best for me to run until I can get a new GPU? the most powerful? I need it to run unity 5 in openGL mode, blender, and light gaming. which one would handle that load the best?

Samsung EVO 850 256GB.

That thing can take an absolute pounding. I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm using the stock cooler on my cpu right now, but the little fan is starting to show it's limits. It like to do some screeching when it gets up to speed and I've got to throttle it back.
If I get a cooler that fits on my am3 setup right now, will I be able to roll it forward when I upgrade to am4 within the next year? It's not the biggest investment, but if there's something I should look out for I would like to know.

Just make sure it comes with mounting support for both AM3 and AM4.
I know the 212X and PH-TC12DX both have AM3+AM4 support now, but you have to get the new ones that come with AM4 mounting hardware.

I'm building a survival bunker and I was wondering how many hard drives should I buy?

Keep in mind I need to store a lot of data, but I'm more worried of long term storage and backups/failures.

Buy tape drives.

Is there such a thing as a good free video editor (and what is it)?

Not yet, but there is a team working on one for Linux.

Shortcut.

40°C Idle.
45°C with light use.
45~49°C with light use for 12 hours.
54°C under stress.

Are those good temperatures for a locked Haswell I5? stock HSF ofcourse.
Ambient temperature is 30~35°C.

yes

>try to overclock GPU with MSI afterburner
>benchmarks stay the same
What the fuck?

Check ingame performance.

Haswell before the refresh?
You did not delid?
Yes.

If I use a less popular (public) torrent tracker will it be less likely that I get something like a Copyright Infringement Notice? Like if I use RuTracker rather than The Pirate Bay?

Welcome to overclocking

This They're slow as balls, but if you need to hold a lot of storage indefinitely, they're the way to go. And once you've got the reader, the tapes themselves are actually pretty cheap.

That seems foolish given their high cost and specialized hardware.

That, or bluray

If you care, don't use either. Don't even use private trackers without VPN or seedbox.

>bluray
Not enough capacity. I probably need close to 1/4 of a Petabyte.

Tape drives are your best option.

You most likely can't.

What one then? Not something you can easily buy on Newegg or Amazon it seems.

Ebay

You don't use just one.
Sony sells bulk blu-ray library systems that can do up to 708PB total capacity.

Is it normal for Illustrator to look this bad? I'm new to graphic design and I'm having trouble doing a split-screen setup.

Useful once learned but ultimately not as effective?
Genuine question, that's my personal experience with Gimp, not Krita.

9800 I think. But that's just, like, my opinion man.

>You don't use just one.
>Sony sells bulk blu-ray library systems that can do up to 708PB total capacity.
Everspan

You're looking at ~15KUSD for that much storage. Options are either a rackmount chassis with a shitload of 3.5" drives such as one of these 45drives.com/products/storinator-s45-lite-configurations.php, or a tape library like one of these ebay.com/itm/IBM-3573-L2U-TS3100-LTO7-FC-2U-Tape-Library-144-360-TB-New-/162339573445?hash=item25cc314ec5:g:VzUAAOSw2xRYZsTN

Tapes are cheaper per unit, but don't hold as much, and aren't anywhere near as fast/convenient as HDDs. Can get a 6TB LTO7 tale (marketed as 15TB including compression) for ~$120 vs 8TB archival HDDs for 220.

i want to build a computer because my macbook pro is shitting out on me. i think i want an i7, and i don't think i need like a 1080 or anything, but i don't know the relative power of processors or graphics cards.

can someone help me choose a cpu, gfx card, and maybe accompanying motherboard?

Thanks for this. I got a while before I get the bunker up and ready anyway.

looooooooooooooooooooooogical
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiincrements

i don't know the difference between an i5 7700 and an i7 2200, let alone i7 2700 and 5500

Is there a way to change the font sizes in Windows 10 anymore? The creators update removed that option and now you have to scale the whole UI. That sucks.
I don't know much about editing the registry to know whether it will fuck things up further or not.

>logicalincrements

Krita like says, or Inkscape is another alternative.

what do the numbers mean?? both the i7 XXXX and X.XGhz??

so why is 3000mhz+ ram better for ryzen?

logicalincrements

openshot.org/download/

winaerotweaker can set default fonts and sizes

Depends on what you're using it for. I would say Affinity Designer but it's not FOSS.
Krita is not a good vector drawing program, great for painting, not for vector graphics.
I've never liked inkscape either though.

It makes the CPU interconnect faster

You will have to do your own research, but i7 is a branding term for Intel CPUs.

infinity fabric is magical

yes but what's the difference between processing speed and which intel i7 processor generation it is

just like what does bottlenecking mean and how do i choose a graphics card for my processor

if they are numbered xyyy each x is a new gen
i7 3790 is one gen after i7 2600
no more spoonfeeding. go learn.

Each new generation is an attempt at IPC improvement.
Roughly put, processing speed tells you how fast the CPU is within its generation of CPUs. Terms like Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, Haswell, Haswell refresh, Broadwell, Skylake etc. tell you what generation it is in Intel branding terms.
Judging by you mentioned Sandy Bridge which is likely what your macbook pro is using. That pins it to 2010? 2011? generation of macbook pros.

Use pcpartpicker while using logicalincrements as a guide.

Pantheon?

>Pantheon?
What? Nani? Que? Stho?

Thanks man. That solved it.

the manager

Feels good to have Roboto as system font over here.

more like proprietary DWM

I myself prefer Fira Sans which is what I use in linux. I'm ok with the windows font, just not the sizes.

>Fira Sans
not bad

In the bios my ram is listed as 2133mhz while in cpu z it is listed as 1067, I hear this is because it is dual channel, is this correct or is my motherboard underclocking my ram?
