C# is basically Java and .NET is basically Java's standard libraries but made in redmond. If you're familiar with Java, C# isn't hard to pick up.
Are you familiar with Java, or any other OOP language (python kinda works, but you need to be aware that has dynamic typing, which C# and Java do not)?
And what are you trying to do?

.Net developer here. If you're a linux dev, C# should be piss easy for you. It's one of the better designed languages out there.
