Mine finally died after 7 years of faithful service. Will there ever be a mouse as good as this one produced again?

you sound as retarded as someone jerking off a trackball, the only reason this mouse was ever popular is because most people who bought it were upgrading from trackballs or $5 usb mice

objectively shit mouse comparatively, you can't even say it was good for its time because it was 3x the cost of other equal/better options

G402 is better

G 602 is better

G 960 all the way or fuck off

too many buttons
no minimalistic mx518 spirit to be found

no

samefag

I actually have a separate mouse for gaming the g900 so you can fuck off

should be coming out soon in limited quantities

Mine still lives. Got another mouse anyway. Not planning to switch back.

It's a good mouse, but it's not that special.

>breaks after 7 years
>good
kys and get a real mouse

Still using mine for 7 years let's gooooooooo

Just fix it for like $15 you utter pleb.

I bought a replacement cord off ebay when mine started disconnecting last year. I've been using it since 2007.

Seeing what 9 years of crud became inside was interesting...

Not as good as the G9x.

>Will there ever be a mouse as good as this one
>looks like a fucking raisin
Yeah user there was a mouse that blew that ugly motherfucker out of the water, decades ago.

This. I got one last year to replace my aging G5 and it was a great choice.

How did it die?

Depending on the answer I'd say just fix it.

Man... you just don't know what you got till it's gone

How's the G403?

microsoft's original optical mice were pretty sweet

It feels pretty great, but there seem to be some quality control issues with logitech. I've had it for a month based on a recommendation from rocketjumpninja. Braided wires are durable and the sensor is fantastic. My only concern is a loose feeling RMB. There's slight scroll wheel rattle which isn't loud but overall it seems to be a lottery right now.

I'm not sure if this will be a problem in the future.

Fix it then, 98% chance it's the cable that just broke.
It's like less than $5 to fix, free if you happen to have a usb cable spare and can solder.

I hated that mouse.
The fucking side buttons shit me off so much.

Wheel Mouse Optical 1.1 4ever, fuck your shit IME.

If you don't mind losing your scroll wheel button ;)

None because you are a nostalgia faggot.

Its not the best because it has angle snapping. You could try to find yourself a g400s They seem to be still available from chinese online stores.

> Mine finally died
What died on yours? Mine still going strong after 9 years, only stuff i've done is replaced ceramic capacitor with tantalum capacitor inside to get rid of high frequency noise/whine (wouldn't do it, if i didn't found out about it, and listened to mine very closely), and clean it few times (fully disassemble and wash plastic parts), also replaces slides. Didn't even think about to replacing it, but g102/203 is looking nice.

barring quality control issue that the g403 or prodigy series in general tend to have the trend of braided cables on modern mice is fucking retarded, they're *heavy* cables and they catch on every little sharp thing

I'd almost say I prefer the shitty cables on the mx518/g400s series that tend to fail after a few years because at least then they didn't have tenancy to drag the pissing mice off the table

>at least then they didn't have tenancy to drag

excuse me,

at least then they don't have the tendency to drag

can't into english today

>forced angle snapping
>good
MX518 was never good.

Logitech sent me a free image related when mine died, they just asked for a proof that I broke the mouse "beyond repair" so they could send a new one, free of charge.

Based Logitech support.

yes they are called Zowie now
