lot of rusofils here, government is russia leaning too

All those -tan's should be the same same country desu.

Just decimate anyone who opposses it, desu

all those blue and white flags should just be the same country imo

2bh the fall of the Soviet Union was a mistake, Gorbachev should have put Yeltsin down like a dog and then sent tanks everywhere else (except maybe the balts, they were too much trouble for what they are worth)

>wanting to be in the same country as salvadorans

I would rather get myself decimated

>mistake
more like best thing to happen. Look at Poland and Germany, one was funded by USA the other was funded by USSR.

Wrong. Their countries were fucked before the USSR.

burger wisdom

False dichotomy, Germany was the most industrialized country in the world until Hitler ruined it all.

Poland was massively industrialized due to Russian-guided central planning. Did the Soviets do horrible things to the Polish people? Absolutely, but the ability for socialist states to develop weak economies, especially after devastating conflict, is incontestable.

Communism is reason why poland is shit right now

But Poland was shit before communism

Most of the shitty things about the USSR was more a result of political repression rather than central planning. I mean free markets are probably better but there are some merits to a planned economy.

...

>He uses GNP was a measure of success

I thought Mongolia was part of the Soviet Union but apparently not.

How does Communism work in Mongolia work anyway? Collectivization of all the yurts?

...

>Portugal

lmao

why doesnt it show before WW2? Poland and Kingdom of Bohemia used to be top 10 economies in the world

>Moldova (Moldova)

>showing only eastern bloc with no western comparison
Disregarded

Thats GNP per capita. Basically shows how Czechs and Hungarians went from being rich and centres of culture to East European gommie shitholes. Prior to communism Bohemia was considered to be the richest region of Austria-Hungary

I meant for the countries that were in the USSR except the Balts

for everyone else it was fantastic

what was fantastic about Russia directly controlling half of europe?

damn commies destroyed everything

You misunderstood my post, I meant that the USSR falling was fantastic for everyone but the former soviet republics not named Lithuania, Latvia, or Estonia

You'd also have Israel, Finland and Greece. Not sure if that's better.

GNP per capita is just wealth relative to population, it doesn't account for whether or not that wealth is equally distributed.

IHDI rankings put 5 ex-commie countries over the U.S.

Russia ruined countries like Hungary and Poland but in the case of Lithuania and Latvia it brought them out of the feudal age and into the 20th century.

Greater Iran when

cause USA is fucking shit if you are not rich

When you actually do something for Iranians instead of shitposting under >A FUCKING LEAF

>considering they're the reason their country is in a fucked up state now.

?

Poland is the main reason Poland is shit now.

>nominal
Nahhhhhh

GNP per capita shows the wealth per person faggot.

We are not saying Communism was better than Western democracy and the market system, but this is bait

I would if I was Muslim and could wiggle myself into the political spectrum

Central planning was the principal reason for food shortages and lagging GDP.

But didn't it also result in job security, reasonable wages, strong healthcare and education systems etc?

Poland was always poor.

the ussr was a mistake, one made by the eternal german as well, if they hadn't sent that syphyllitic jew back to russia this wouldn't have happened
