It's a good editor, I concede. At the same time, I will not have my fundamental freedoms stepped on by using it.
>after 2000
Convince me to switch from Atom.
are you retarded?
>no proper find in files
>tons of packages leak memory
>sublime itself leaks memory
i'd use it if it wasnt for it fucking up find in all files so often.
atom is slow af if the project code base is somewhat above the 40k lines
you are beyond help
proof?
also do you perhaps have 128 MB of RAM?
yes June 6, 2000 is after January 1, 2000
proof of what? leakage? you can dind tons of threads about this with a simple google search.
What does my ram size have to do with anything fucknuts.
>what is neovim
Go play with your toys elsewhere.
so you just read it somewhere while not even noticing it youself on your own machine?
the fuck out of here kid
Aything wrong with notepad++?
Obviously, I have that's why I'm not using it anymore retard. I'm not going to document every little thing wrong with every software I use especially if it's a known problem lmao
Sublime Text 3 is the only text editor that can be activated with CIA Nigger's license.
sjws
Vim 8 was released 7 months ago, Sublime hasn't had a stable release in almost 4 years :^).
Literally fuck editor that doesnt allow you to use mouse as well if user needs it. When I need some quick editing that I noticed I will be 1000 times faster with just clicking on the spot i need to edit than hunting it with keyboard. This goes for everybody. Mouse is god-tier helper tool.
Nobody is programming by constantly typing shit without pause for thinking and editing. Get real kids.
>Not open source
I need multi-column editing and selection substitution with result from a command %!command
got any sauce mate?
Non-free
Still doesn't come close to the feature-set of Emacs or simplicity of vim.
my fav memes
who still /textmate/ here
good for people who are starting
literally just /
notepad++ is faster and better and its open source
>after 2000 only!!!
>too scared to admit this whole century has been a waste
what if i have 23 exact things to find across 23 different files fucker?
bcs i wanted for jobless neets to fuck off from this thread, now if you be so kind fuck off
>random frame drops cuz it randomly decided to start indexing or w/e
>too slow for large files (>10MB)
>find results is shit
>find in files looks into some binary files by default
it's okay.
>$70
I'd rather buy IntelliJ and get a full fledged IDE.
>paying
what the fuck are you even doing on Sup Forums mactoddler
and you select all 23 of them with your mouse?
Agreed OP. Still the best editor on the 4/20/2017 +1. Performance wise and usability wise.
Let the attention deficit disorder kids play with Atom and VSCode.
Spotted the NEET child. How's the fizzbuzz project going?
No real programmer who understands what a program does would use a proprietary editor.
>not knowing sublime text inserts secret binary markers into your files so that the NSA can track all code written in it
Sublime is better than either of them, but to be fair to VS Code, it is miles ahead of Atom in everything, except for extension count.
And it's not communist. I know that by paying for the software I help motivate the developers to maintain it.
>fundamental freedoms stepped on by using it.
I seriously hope you are not using that atom shit made in web meme technologies and complaining about freedums here.
keep telling that to yourself to feel like you are a "real" programmer. Fucking idiot.
...
>windows only
wew
Why would you buy if the government already bought it for you :^)
the only OS that actually is relevant
>Will they ever make better editor? (only editors released after 2000)
Yeah they already did, long before the turn of the century.
Emacs or Vim, pick your poison.
>lel at captcha pic muh whiteboard terk muh jerbs
Does anyone use online editors? c9, codeanywhere, etc
you forgot to use the new icon
so that's why I got a malware warning when I downloaded it
slap is like sublime, but written in javascript and running in a terminal
