HumbleBundle has some "PC software", as in non-games software, bundle.

The tiers are:

1$ for:
>Smart Defrag PRO 1-Year License
>Revo Uninstaller Version 3 License, 1 PC
>EaseUS ToDo BackUp Home Version 10 License

$7.50 for:
>Advanced SystemCare PRO 1-Year License
>Driver Booster PRO 1-Year License
>Speedify VPN 1-Year License, 5 Devices

$15 for:
>Obit Malware Fighter PRO 1-Year License
>Connectify Hotspot MAX 1 Hotspot, Unlimited Users
>Auslogics File Recovery 1-Year License, 3 PCs
>WinZip®21 Standard Edition Version 21 Standard License, 3 PCs

Outside of the bundle, these products have a combined cost of $450, although I am very skeptical they are worth even a tenth of that.
Have any of you used them? Which ones are good, which ones can you recommend?
Is it even fucking worth it at all?

>1 year vpn sub for $7.50
>dosent works on linux

p-probably a botnet, r-right guys?

i used Speedify awhile back. My understanding is that it isn't a traditional VPN in terms of operation. It worked just fine for me though (i used it to get past region locks on bbc and hulu etc).

Anyways, $7.50 alone makes that worth it. I was paying about that per month for it

>Smart Defrag PRO 1-Year License

Why would a defrag software need a yearly license? Get an SSD. If you need to defrag, use the one that came with windows.

>Revo Uninstaller Version 3 License, 1 PC

Convenient but not really necessary. Just don't install crappy software.

>EaseUS ToDo BackUp Home Version 10 License

Can be useful but there are free alternatives available.

>Advanced SystemCare PRO 1-Year License

You don't need this either. Just don't install crappy software on your PC and maintain it properly.

>Driver Booster PRO 1-Year License

Just download your drivers from the manufacturer's website.

>Speedify VPN 1-Year License, 5 Devices

I don't use a VPN so I can't comment on this one.

>Obit Malware Fighter PRO 1-Year License

There are free alternatives like MalwareBytes. Don't click on ads, use an adblocker.

>Connectify Hotspot MAX 1 Hotspot, Unlimited Users

Can't find a reason to install this.

>Auslogics File Recovery 1-Year License, 3 PCs

Use Recuva (free). Backup your files.

>WinZip®21 Standard Edition Version 21 Standard License, 3 PCs

7-Zip is free. Also, windows has built-in support for zip files.

>renting software

nah

>most of these programs are bonzi buddy tier shit or complete placebos

>pay $15 for winzip and a bunch of trials

biggest blunder humble bundle has ever made

>buying winzip

Looks like a bunch of shit. VPN is the only thing potentially useful.

>paying for software

That's all garbage. Don't install useless shit on your PC in the first place, goymer.

Support your local programmers.

They don't have OpenVPN support?

My uni blocks all incoming torrent data, with a VPN I believe they can't see what data is incoming, would speedify help with this or would it not work for this? Or am i just wrong all together?

no its a "new kind of vpn"
speedify.com/blog/a-new-kind-of-vpn/

literally all garbage

Stop shilling, retard. We had this thread. It's all shitware. Advanced system care is actually malware. It's not worth getting at all, unless you want to re-sell it to an illiterate idiot for twice the price.

>not even Wireguard
What's the purpose, then?

This bundle made me laugh. That people would think they need this. It's ultimately software that tricks normies into thinking they actually need this.

WHERES THE GAMES FAGGOTS

So a data harvesting botnet then. No legitimate company only offers a closed source client and gives a year of their product away in some $7.50 bundle.

yah most likely

I like humble bundle but those software packs are trash
I hope they aren't dying

I used to enjoy Revo Uninstaller back when I used to install crapware. My understanding is that the free version will only uninstall 32-bit applications now.

Probably the only thing I care about on that list but I don't install junk anymore so fuck it.

They just put all the good games in the monthly bundles now.

if you can't torrent at your home that's probably illegal under net neutrality laws
