2017 and still not using a fanless cpu cooler

...

Rated for 80W TDP.

Unless you're using a 1700 with no overclock you're gonna throttle.

i3 low power master race here
with SSD I can load 90% of apps in 2~4 seconds.

>using a trash bin as a cpu cooler

madman

I'm glad I'm not so 3rd world and retarded that I have to use an egg beater for a cpu cooler.

Get that trash can out

The Noctua NH-D15S at 300rpm is pretty silent on my Xeon desu senpai.

>>ultra corelet
such a computer would satisfy most of ones needs, not everyone wants a dragon dildo render farm.

probably too big.

>apps
>pc
Get hit by a car millennial faggot

That's assuming you have airflow in the case. It's more like 20W TDP.

Don't worry about these amdrones. They just mad that a pentium G4560 destroys the recent 1800x in most games.

Nigga it says right on the spec sheet that it's 80W.

>needing a i7 to use internet and do small video editing
found the redditor

what's the benefit of using fanless beside no noise? the cooler i have now makes virtually no noise

> 2002
> didn't even have a radiator and it still worked good

you can cook bacon on it

you might save 0.5W pr fan, but having good sub 20db fans moves stupid amounts of heat.

t. Heatsink in disguise

It's for retards who has never controlled their fan speeds.

this
my overclocked 8320's stock cooler is loud as shit just running at the default 100% speed
but with temperature-controlled speeds, it ranges from inaudible to about as quiet as the hdd's
it can get loud still if i let it collect too much dust

without airflow it's 20W

I had a fanless thermalright 120 extreme on my q9550.
OCed to 3.7 Ghz without a flaw

Based true copper. I have one. :3

I remember now that case had some top tier cable management

Yeah but my video card fans are bound to spin up eventually too. I wouldn't have a desktop if it was meant to be so underpowered. Performance makes heat.

Now my notebook has no moving parts. I also don't have many performance expectations from it. Get the right tool for the job.

I've got an onboard video/6100T/Corsair RM550X fanless zero noise media computer setup around that Nofan.

Draws 36W total in normal use, stays fan off. One occasion the fan in the PSU did start turning on, possibly due to confusion in USB control smarts and changing BIOS settings, possibly some sort of overheating/load due unset components; a BIOS reset and reseat fixed it and went back to fanless.

Runs under 40 degrees Celsius, the SSD gets hotter. Haven't tried Prime95 since its not meant to be a toy. Corsair has good monitor stuff as part of the PSU.

Would it be stupid if I want to use a fanless cooler on a g4650? Having a system that doesn't generate a lot of noise would be ideal.

>imblying

But you still need fan to cool the case so what's the point?

This looks really cool, where can I find one?

hopefully it kills itself with fire so you dont have to

My 2 in 1 with shitty Atom has no fan whatsoever.

unless you clean the fucking things once a month the fan isnt doing much anyway

I'd need something huge to cool pic related

Is this bait or are you genuinely retarded?

Just fucking turn off your fans then and see what happens, you dumbfuck.

True Sup Forumsents know that this IS STILL the BEST heatsink in the world.
I would love to have one.
Atm I have a Noctua NH-D14.

bonus post content: Can someone run SRBase on BOINC, 100% CPU's and 100% CPU Time at their highest stable overclock and post thermal results after running it for a few mins, and describe their cooling setup?
I've got a problem somewhere as having to reduce my overclock see pic. RoG program is terrible!

No. It is rated for 80 WATTS
8

WATTS
CAN YOU NOT FUCKING READ?

without airflow it's only 20W though

Where does it say that? Your shitty estimate has no grounds. Fuck off

when there's no air flowing it can't dissipate to the heated air so it can only handle 20W

Have you tried it? No? Thought so. Then you can't say shit. Get lost

Hot air creates its own flow. All you need is a vent at the top and bottom of the case. Cool air will be drawn in as hot air will want to rise out.

without airflow it's 20W

There's a reason why faster fan speeds allowed cooler temps.

>Looks like a trash can
>is actually trash

Where are you seeing 20W? Why not 30W or 10W, where is your info coming from?

No duh, faster airspeed means better heat transfer. The point is that the air doesn't just just sit there and get hotter and hotter and hotter until your computer shuts down. There is flow created by convection.

I calcumalated it in my head

I used on of them scythe ninja heatsinks fna-less.
It kept my 4 COARZ under 55c even with prime95 running for hours.a Q8200 btw(95tdp)
Case had shit airflow too.

Aluminium makes for better heatsinks

CN T9 went wrong ep1
> and still arguing about CPU coolers when only 1 out of 4 gaymers are OC'd

graphene heatsinks when

I want to buy that and glue a fan to it

>enjoy your 3 year CPU lifespan
You poor or something?

I could probably go fanless on my i3 if I worked on my airflow, but I overclocked it and plan to upgrade to an overclocked i5

>mfw trying to overclock an i5 6400 without a fan

I would prefer an AMD FX-9590 over even the lastest Cuck i3.

Even if it performs worse.

Saying "I own an i3" is embarrasing.

i wanna see that thing rotating

>I think owning an i3 is embarassing

kek

>I spent more to get worse performance because I'm insecure and need to wealth-signal
Literally Macbook logic

I gave it to a friend. Haven't heard from him in a while. Kept the 7970s

Without case fans it's only 20w.

If I brought one of these and slapped a massive fan on top of it what kind of temps could I expect

A copper trash can?

Moderate to high temperatures. The heat pipes are ridiculously skinny.

it was worth getting because it was a bargain and its a good board actually.

think you missed the point there mate so fuck off tard

someone stop this lunatic

based 3930k.
Still have one in my desktop.

fanless cherry trail/apollo lake is enough for browsing/watching cat videos

is that a little asus netbook?

t100ha 2-in-1, about the same power as old c2d

> literally spending thousand bucks on RoG and Razer "products"
Your currency must be shit if RoG junk is costing you thousands.

Made infopic. Better than I thought CPU is about +10 on ambient, and its cold. That memory is a hammer fix for leaky software.

Nigga, I have my CPU on full load constantly and I'm fanless.

copper absorbs heat better

aluminium dissipates heat better

that's why all ideal heatsink designs use both.

or because aluminium is much cheaper than copper

>falling for the "everyone is special in their own way" meme
Copper is superior to aluminium in every way in cooling, but it's more expensive and heavier.

no I'll post my 4770k and 480gtx combo

I which a mod notice your comment and ban you forever.

Try overclocking a G4560, genius. Not so clever now.

Is that like a Dyson fan for computers?

why not get a quiet fan?

I bought this cooler 6 years ago, and the thing is still running. Never had to reseat it and temps are still cool. Maybe i lucked out but this thing was godtier. I don't think many people gave antec a chance with their coolers.
