Am going to be the only one to point out that there is nothing wrong with this. A good rinse followed by a long thorough dry is a perfectly acceptable way to clean electronics. However soaking for an extended period might hurt the caps and transformers.

Toshiba satellites are not great, they are terrible and cheap. 8 years ago in my last IT job, we had multiple in every week and I guarantee you the majority were all either failed HDD or dead mobo.
