I like bomi as well, when I'm on linux I try to use bomi if I can. Just mpv with thumbnail seeking and a guo, brilliant. It's just too bad it's no longer developed.

I used MPC and MadVR but recently i switched to PotPlayer + MadVR, Subtitle working better and some other useful shit.

shockingly unrelated to me being starcraft player and later discovering that gom has tournaments...

it had excelent design and interface, felt snappy, all the options I needed were present

then ads started, and once I blocked it on firewall level it was fine, but it became too much bother and then just started to use kmplayer or pot player or whatever dont remember
and they had this ultra super instant fast skip forward/barckaward
did not return to gom, and later went to linux where it was bomi and now mpv

So how do you guys solve the 23.xxx->60 fps issue? Everything looks horrible and discrete when "camera" moves horizontally.

As a fansubber, I make sure my work works in mpv. I've purposely made something that works in mpv and not in mpc-hc because libass is way nicer behaving than vsfilter

I use MPC-HC + madVR.
madVR ability to load profiles is really useful because I mostly use madVR for DVD anime content. NGU AA is great for cartoons which is my main source of entertainment and for Chroma upscaling I use super-xbr because it looks very similar to nnedi3 32 neurons, which I think looks great for catoons without being a resource hog unlike nnedi3.
supeer-xbr does gives it a very soft look which is why I use AdaptiveSharpen on all 3 profiles at different values.
I use image enhancements because upscaling refinement is just too resource intensive.
720p is just Jinc AR for luma and super-xbr for chroma.
1080p profile is the same as 720 and is there just to catch anything bigger than 720p but not exactly 1080p.

I'm interested in using ffdshow avisynth compression artifacts filters but they seems like they would be resource hogs and I have no idea where to start.
