Just bought this computer. Is it a bad decision for someone who's not looking to build?

Bought it based on this dudes review and the shit ton of reviews.

Just looking to play a couple Mmorpgs.

Yes I know building is cheaper but I don't care.

Actually not the worst build for the price, considering it's a prebuilt

Waste of fucking money. Building a PC is fucking simple! Literally legos, even a retard could do it. But whatever, it's your money OP.

Well I have enough money in the bank to buy whatever I want but cheap price and good reviews couldn't pass it up.

Apart from the gimped GPU, shit tier SSD and lack of RAM it's basically what I built for 1200

Doesn't matter how much money you have, does not mean you should blow it.

Not him but if you really do have that much money, you'd at least attempt to try building it yourself. It's an awesome learning experience, and really not that difficult. There are dozens of guides to help you, too.

Why don't you just get advice from /pcbg/, and if you're afraid of building lego, pay someone to build it? I'm not sure how much it costs in America, but when I bought my first PC and was scared to build it, the shop where I ordered was offering assembly for something like $15.

Well considering you built it for 1200 I'd consider it not a shit buy? I could always customize it later.

>Yes I know building is cheaper but I don't care.

TechDeals has made a few videos about CyberPower over the past few months where the price was lower than what you could build on your own.

Also if you dont know how to build them, what to look for, dont have the time, and want some kind of quality control on your parts then buying a prebuilt is fine.

hopefully it has a power supply at or above 500Watts, so you have the option to upgrade the gpu in the future.

When you buy a computer that cheap sometimes building your own won't even save money.

I know everyone loves to tell me to build my own. But if I'm adamant on not building my own was it a bad buy if I can always customize it later?

Well he posted that video for this one.

I just decided to upgrade a little.

I just don't see the point in spending the money on a computer with parts you plan on swapping out later is all. And there's a joy to building a desktop, as well as a real sense of accomplishment. It isn't just about price.

And he actually posted the parts side by side with the price and said it was CHEAPER to buy the prebuilt.

i5 has been obsoleted by R5

I know.. but that isn't my question.

If I keep it as is, is it a bad buy? Disregarding building your own.

It's a bit shitty considering you bought a GPU that's already outdated out the box but apart from that you're fine.

>TechDeals

As if that denture wearing dipshit could ever have anything useful to say.

Wow, it plays overwatch and World of Warships, the only two games he plays ever. Thanks, Gummy.

As is? No, that's pretty good for the price. Just wish it weren't the 3GB variant of the GTX 1060

why would you not build? if you can put together a lego set or ikea furniture then you can put together a pc. if you buy a standard sized case you won't have problems finding compatible parts.

He posted this for the $719 one. And still said it was cheaper to pay the 719 than to build.

pcpartpicker.com/list/4Npff8
Much better fucking parts! Only $30 more!

pcpartpicker.com/list/7bpff8
Much better fucking parts! $100 cheaper!

He plays much more on the cheaper one if you actually watched. Even Battlefield 1 and it ran smoothly.

Reminder you can buy Win 10 Pro keys for as little as $10 off eBay

do you have a prebuilt for the price OP is aiming for?

Watch this youtu.be/QN7cH6kGPeY that's the $719 one. I upgraded a little with the $829

7400 and a 1060/3gb? Did you go out of your way to find the worst Intel/Nvidia combo going right now?

All I'm asking for the price was it a bad buy? Thanks for the ones who answered yes and no.

It is not a good build, as the mobo/PSU/HSF are unknown, and typically are of low quality. The i5 7400 is no longer a good purchase, as the R5 1500X is better.

But for a prebuilt, it is not THAT bad.

No problem but I really suggest you go for something else
The GTX 1060, especially the 3GB, is very poor in terms of price to performance. Not to mention the 3GB allows for very little future proofing

Honestly I just watched Techdeals gameplay (with the 719 one) and all the games he played ran smoothly. I'm not looking to overwork it I just want to play a couple Mmorpgs (Silkroad, Aion)

I watched it but it was so fucking cringe I couldn't get all the way through it. Is he sponsored by this 'PowerPc' or what?

You should have asked us for advice BEFORE purchasing, mate. Imagine the following:

>I just drank this unknown liquid, but it had these symbols on the container. Can you guys let me know if it is poison?

Well he said he pays with his own money for every PC he buys so I trusted him on his reviews. I honestly doubt he's a shill.

I won't even lie, I haven't bought it yet (;

But let me just make it clear I'm adamant on not building my own.

nigger, the only way prebuilts make sense is if it's not your money.

no matter the company, prebuilts always cheap out on parts. the psu will be bottom of the barrel, dell in particular loves using underpowered ones, the hard drives will be the cheapest shit, too, the case will be sub par in terms of thermal performance as well as noise reduction. likewise the memory and motherboard will also be either the cheapest or one of the cheapest available. cyperpower pc seems a little better than most since their pricing is fair as far as prebuilts go, and they don't use no-name piece of shit parts to save a few cents here and there, but the fact still stands that i'd rather build my own.

i've only ever bought one prebuilt and it lasted me a year because it was such a horrid piece of shit. all the parts were such shit that it didn't even make sense to try and upgrade it. i only reused the mouse, keyboard, and optical drive. all my builds lasted me years in comparison.

>Sup Forums REEEEE-ing about actually relevant things instead of the non-bland case

Wow, I'm impressed

>I'm adamant on not building my own.
Potential prebuilt issues:

-Price is higher than buying and assembling it yourself
-Unknown/low quality PSU
-Unknown/low quality mobo
-Unknown/low quality HSF
-1 year warranty, when buying parts individually gives 3/5/7/10/lifetime warranties
-Less choice with regards to internals
-Potentially unbalanced parts (lots of RAM, underpowered GPU, etc)
-No chance to educate yourself on PC parts, something that will help when you need to troubleshoot later

~95% of the time, you do yourself a disservice by buying prebuilt. If you still insist on getting a prebuilt, good luck to you.

wtf how did you do that

PCPartPicker looks for the best deals, and makes sure that everything is compatible.

It's not too late!

>But let me just make it clear I'm adamant on not building my own.
Then get someone else to put it together if you're so scared of big boy legos.

Fuck does it really offend you guys that I won't build my own? I mean it's my money . All I was asking if it was a bad decision as a prebuilt for someone who's not looking to work their computer to the max?

>I mean it's my money
en.wiktionary.org/wiki/a_fool_and_his_money_are_soon_parted

The other companies want to take as much as they can from you. We want to help you save $$$, and get good parts. Who is your friend here, user?

Do these prices assume you aren't paying for windows?

Only children care about where you got your PC.

Also consider a Ryzen 5.

ibuypower.com/Store/AMD-Ryzen-5-Starter

"Wow this $10 keyboard is SO GOOD"
"Wow I've never seen a mouse with weights before"
"This low budget build will play EVERYTHING AT MAX EVERYTHING"

>All I was asking if it was a bad decision as a prebuilt
It is a bad decision. That's why if you want a custom build but don't want to assemble it, get someone that can read a motherboard manual on how to put everything together to do it for you for tree fiddy dollars.
Pic related, a manual on how to put together a new Ryzen build.

No one will understand the reason for this. To give some semblance of an explanation, I’m not a human, this is just a dream and soon I will awake. It was too cold and the blood was coagulating all the time, plus my new knife is too dull. If I don’t succeed dying to the knife I will blow all the shit out of my skull.

There are no mass produced brand name pre-builts that use Ryzen yet.

>8GB DDR4
>$25
I'd expect at the very least paying twice as much as that.

eh, you didn't get cucked too hard op. certainly better than a prebuilt from a brand like Dell or whatever for that money.

This is what tech reviews are.
They were never about technology or reviews. They were hardware porn, label porn and advertisement.

>i5
outdated until Intel rebrands their quad core i7s as i5s with hyperthreading and make 6 core the new i7
>blower AMD
fuck that noisy hair dryer shit
>that PSU
thanks for skimping, skipper, I'll go allahu akbar now

JUST FUCKING BUILD A PC

It's easy as long as you're not retarded

And then you get shit components because yiu have more important shir to do theb squint at giga hurts and nothing works and then trouble shooting is left to you.

Get off your elitist high horse and embrace PC prebuilts so we can have total PC dominance.

>And then you get shit components
You're a funny guy. This is the age of babby pc building, with logicalincrements and pcpartpicker it is extremely difficult to fuck up assembling a build. Motherfuckers in this thread probably don't even remember how fucking sensitive the 24-pin connector from the psu was back then.

Not too bad for $800 OP, you even get an OS out of it

building a pc isn't difficult by the way, throw that bitch in the case, line it up with the standoffs and it's a breeze from there

...

anybody got that long youtube list of kids assembling their own PC? inb4 partyvan pls FBI

Holy shit what did I just read?

C'mon man there are literal fucking threads dedicated to building a PC

Even Reddit fags can build a PC and even help you build it step by step. The community is very helpful.

he's probably from Brazil

>why don't you just suck dicks?
>it's actually a lot of fun
>it's so simple a kid could do it

False equivalency or not, if someone wants to spend an extra $100 on a prebuilt because they legitimately do not want to build a computer, there is nothing wrong with that.

It feels safe to assume at least 60% of people touting how easy it is own only a laptop (probably Thinkpad) and have never built their own desktop.

I just did a build for this price

pcpartpicker.com/list/9P9bf8

its literally the same price if you include windows, but with the cyberpower you at least get someone to yell at shit goes south

>denture wearing dipshit
i bet if something happened in your life, like an accident lets say, and you had the option of missing teeth, or going to the dentist and getting your shit fixed... you walk around with holes in your mouth, huh faggot?

Build it, it might seem scary but its super easy and its fun.

>there is nothing wrong with that
yes there is

Build your own PC. M-muh faggotness.

in that case he's paying someone to suck their dick, faggot.

>I don't care if you have a solution to my problem, I just want you to make me feel better
This entire fucking thread.

that's not a bad prebulit for the price desu

Remember, normies learn like old people; they have to see the specific steps taken because they lack the ability to understand. Don't be too hard on him.

Can this build be done cheaper?

Building PCs is easier than Lego these days. It ain't jumper hell no more

You can get that for about $550-700

June/July summer sales soon™

A key is literally 10 fucking dollars you retard.

FUCK YOU

actually KMSpico is free retard

I fucking hate you shit bag scummy fucking idiots. You click on Sup Forums even though you explicitly stated this is for "a couple mmorpgs."

Go to fucking Sup Forums for your consumer video questions, you blithering retarded fucking shit face asshole of a dip shit mongoloid cunt sniffing babyfucking subhuman degenerate. This is barely fucking related to technology. You are asking for blatant consumerism advice and as well, BLATANTLY ignoring all other aspects than 'is it good'.

Kill yourself, you waste.

>babby lake
you fucked up

It's okay, TechDeals, you were just getting memed on, calm down.

I've heard CYBERPOWERPC is shit

>trusting leddit pajeets
Enjoy the key not working several months later

pricewatch.com and cry

I did it, and it's been more then a few months. Since the launch of Windows 10.

fuck off, you figure it out
sage

It's not horrible for the price.
