I'm actually upgrading a dell I found for free with a $10 e8400 and an old 7750 I had laying around so my coworker's kid can play minecraft and a few gaymes. Almost the same spec you have. How does it do and what games will it run if you play any?.
Also in need of an upgrade myself but holding on until next gen as I need a new everything.

you can add +4 to ivy/sandy iX turbo clocks on a p-z chipset. I did that and 103.7 bclk for 4250 2c 4050 4c. If you can find a cheap z75 or z77 you can use MCE to lock all cores to max turbo. giving you 4.0/4.1/4.2 4c for 3470/3550/3570 with no bclk.
I was going to do an even 4.0-4.2 but 103.7 gave me 1866 ram speed and I was able to loosen timings slightly and get my 1600 ram there. I don't think you can do that on H61, I'm the guy that told you to shop for 8 thread xeon 1230v2< in the other thread. I see them for under $100 from time to time. I also had to flash my mobo to a newer bios to run ivy, if your bard isn't updated you might need to replace the bios chip or get a cheap cpu to flash it with.
