How popular is your country leader atm?

52%

What makes him so unpopular?

I have a theory, but it's a pretty long and farfetched story. Before WW2, France had the Third Republic. After WW2 and the entire rebuilding process, the Third Republic was scrapped because some accused it of "tyranny" (ie. presidents who got way too powerful and acted like de facto dictators until their term was up) and created the Fourth Republic, which put more emphasis on parliament. The problem is that this happened right during the decolonization process and a very politically sensitive period in history (cold war, collapse of empires etc.). Parliament did nothing because it was more or less evenly split between socialists who wanted to decolonize and conservatives who wanted to maintain the empire. When everything went ot shit, Charles de Gaulle was invited to solve the problem. Long story short, he abandoned the war effort in Algeria (which technically wasn't a colony) and organized referenda in all French colonies so they could choose independence on friendly terms. The ones that didn't became French Overseas Territories and exist in that way to this very day (except Djibouti). But most importantly he created the Fifth Republic, which once again put emphasis on presidential power like in the Third Republic (which unlike the Fourth one actually worked).

And this is why Hollande is so unpopular. When looking at internal authority and competences, the French president is one of the most powerful presidents in the world. Yet Hollande does fucking NOTHING with that power. He just sits there, and the rest of the country is waiting for him to fucking do something, ANYTHING.

Because Napoleon was able to reorganize and remobilize the entire country after his exile in just 100 days, the French consider the first 100 days of a presidents reign very important in assessing him. After the first 100 days of Hollande, the French were already talking about the next elections. That's how little Hollande is doing.

My view is that he did the things he said he would do during his campaigning. And it turns out that people (including the people who voted for him) don't like all those extreme-left policies that he has after all.

To a degree the opposite is true as well: the unions that backed Hollande aren't so happy about his latest labor reforms. Hence Nuit Debout.

He's too left for the right, too right for the left and too tolerant for those worried about Islam.

He sucessfully got both his opponents and supporters to hate him by following a policy of general nothingness and tax increase.

People hate him so much that would actually get BTFO against Marine le Pen in 1vs1 eventhough all the mainstream political party/newspapers would endorse him.

Your history is incorrect. The fourth republic was essentially the third 2.0. The president was a meaningless office and it was unstable as fuck, which sure as hell didnt help to prepare for wwII.

Except he's done this

Niinistö at 86%.

Prime minister is quite a bit lower.

Did he get a boost from the submarine deal with us?
>wasn't it a big deal internationally?

This

The foreign minister, the economy minister and the defense minister are kinda of popular but I don't think people can really like this goofy fuckwite. It's just physical.

Tbh to start with how this guy got elected sound like a poorly written B serie plot. This fucking idiot got lucky because Dominique Strauss Kahn was supposed to obliterated him when the Sofitel thingy happened and his other main rival got caught up in a local corruption scheme.
Even then when everybody wanted to get ride of sarkozy he only got a 51% win.

(You) frankish bro.

De Gaulle was a pussy tho.

Yeah, we can't wait for 2017... and shit.
Everybody knows it now. Stop making these threads lad.

>11%
The absolute madman, will he make it to the

He was elected because people wanted Sarkozy to go, and DSK was in '''jail'''.
I guess if our next elections are Sarkozy vs Hollande, people would commit sudoku.
Basically 2017 elections go like this
Le Pen is elected (impossible for 2017, maybe in the future 2022 or 2027) = leftists on suicide watch, liberals shills and EU BTFO
Juppé (favourite) = liberal bullshit again, since times are becoming very difficult for liberals with Euroscepticism rising, it would mean strikes all over the country, more people worried about muzzies and more votes to Le Pen
Hollande is reelected ( could happen if he faces Le Pen in second turn) The entire nation would be cucked and BTFO by one and only man. Things could escalate quickly in a matters of months

>Hollande is reelected
Pretty much impossible at this point. He said he wouldn't run for re-election if he didn't bring France's unemployment down. Which he didn't.

Well there's 1% less unemployed during the last months so don't take what he said literally. He's an ego guy and that would mean being cucked beyond oblivion if he doesn't run again for presidency... Crashing this party with no survivors

Yup!

I highly incentivize anyone foreign to the situation to the election to read this. Hollande never was meant to reach such highs. He's a fucking representative of Corrèze, a departement of France no one had ever heard about prior to his victory, and his only feats worthy of note are having briefly led his party and resembling a cute puppy.

But then again, this is the left we're discussing. They'd elect a litteral murderer and fascist (Mitterand, look it up) as long as he'd articulate cute "muzzies are nice, finance is evil, and the economy works like Keynes said it did!" opinions. Fucking leftists. They are the reason we have an execution tool as deadly as the guillotine, because soon they'll be outed as traitors and executed in orderly french-fashion with it.

He is a double agent working for Sarkozy.

But it would be so much fun if he gets re elected. CGT buthurt to the max.

Right would be butthurt
Far-right would be butthurt but glad to get more votes for next election
Left would be butthurt
Commies would buttblasted.

I really hope he wins just to see this country get rekt, because when I look at my countrymates, most of them makes me think that we got what we deserve

That would be mostly correct.

Gay marriage asides, he did the exact opposite of what he's been elected for.
He's only following the EU commission's agenda btw.

Kill yourself.
