Go here Also you fucked up getting an 7700k. But you'll find that out there.

maybe

You done goof'd you bought a housefire!
Send it back quick!

Search "7700k temperatures".

Depends on the size of your mobo but yeah probably. you can check noctua's website for a list of compatible components per cooler.

>7700k

why would anyone buy this oven?

That's what the massive radiator is for lmao

user pls, save yourself

Intel housefire. Ebay the chip and get something decent. Don't waste your time.

Fuck off necro posting noctua shills.

>i7 7700k
You're gonna need liquid nitrogen to keep that under 80ÂșC user, not an air cooler.

AMD shills on overdrive

Have you been living under a rock? It came out right from Intel's mouth:

You trust Intel, don't you user?

>high end air cooling on Intel consumer chips
>housefire chip

user you got memed.
The cooler itself is EXCELLENT but Intel's platform is a turd.

Sitting here with my 7700k at 35C, seems great to me.

>35C
Now overclock it (the only purpose to get a 7700k) and run Prime95 or IBT on it.

Gonna get a new cooler today and do some tests, I'll report back

So far it's never given me any temperature issues, it's the same as a 6700k

>35c
>idle

My 6700k doesn't go over 25 on idle...

>intel's chips are shit because they bent at the corners!
>we used an electric screw driver

What used to be chalked up to retarded users , now is being put on the company.
Some people need to take some personal responsibility for their actions.

>intel shits on the build quality
>uses glue on IHS
>sells a locked and unlocked variant of the same chip
>tells users not to overclock unlocked chip

It is the users fault, but I kinda expect better build quality on an expensive chip

My 3570k runs 40c+ idle, under a Corsair H100i v2, but it's always had horrible temps. My NH-D14 actually gave better temps than this worthless AIO. I fell for the meme.

Get a double stack cooler (NH-D15 or be-Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3) if your case can fit them, and they wont interfere with your ram.
