I've always been very interested in Poland for some reason, all the people I've talked with from Poland are really creative and much more introspective than people from other countries I've talked to, and since I've been interested in Catholicism lately, it makes more sense.
I'm probably going to be an exchange student for about six months in Wroclaw, since both Mexico and Poland are really into religion private universities tend to have international contracts for that.
And everyone here is obsessed with Pope John Paul II for some reason, even in my grandma's house there's a small metallic carved image of him in a frame.
I always get this question asked and I still don't know how to answer it clearly.

The language is actually quite fun, at least the vocabulary, I'm scared as fuck about the grammar.
I try to listen to a lot of audio courses and occasionally some subtitled movies, and I'll probably lurk Sup Forums.
I'm not really sure how big the diaspora is, but I remember we took in a handful of Polish refugees during WWII.
I'm not sure if they have an isolated community like Mormons and Mennonites, but probably not.

And rightfully so, it's a massive clusterfuck. But tbqh even if you dropped the cases and declensions you should still be rather easily understandable, so yeah, vocab's the most important.
Prefixes can be a bitch though, and you need them if you want to swear properly.
