Opera has been kill ever since they switched to Webkit and removed all the features. At this point it's just a skin for Chrome which is about as bad is it gets.

After Opera 12, they switched from Presto to WebKit, and then to Blink. Basically just Chrome with the Opera branding.
Then they were bought out by a Chinese investment firm and you can probably be sure that Beijing is tracking your moves if you use Opera, or their "Turbo" service.
