>Thoughts on status indicator leds?
Only cheap chink shit still has them. When you buy a product with them, you know it's a piece of shit.

Shit. I always rip them out of shit.

>Blinkenlights
Haven't thought about that in 10 years
this made me nostalgia and I enabled telnet in 10. It's not working any longer

If they're blue then the products were designed by an asshole sociopath.

They're pretty useful for knowing what the system is doing. I'll always trust a hardware indicator more than a software one.

Pretty degenerate desu sempai

Green and red are OK, but blue LEDs need to be purged from existence in general

I have a samsung monitor and it makes a tiny noise when the led is on. I can't sleep without turning it off at the wall because in the dark with nothing going you hear the noise when it flashes on and off.

I have considered just drilling into it and fucking that shit up but I am afraid I might break something else

should probably go to /diy/ but if anyone knows how to deal with this it would be nice

They are different design for most laptops varying between models and brands it could be seen that they change with changing trends in technology design in general. I like them, but sometimes they make them too bright, so that at night time the screen is less bright than the led.

Needs more RBG

Monitor is easy to take apart it's probably snap together plastic and screws.

The only one that's needed is the light that goes "yes your laptop battery IS currently charging, fag". Otherwise I don't really stare at them.

I use a laptop for a basic web server (It's just a personal site and blog; I'm a writer, so I use it to host links to my publications but also wanted to learn basic bad server administration). In my usecase, case LEDS are awesome so I can get a quick look and make sure everything is fine.

get one of the switches that plugs into the outlet and turn that off after power down. I do the same on mine because it has a blinky light that drives me nuts.

>RBG
Ruth Bater Ginsburg?

Lurk more

Holy shit I just ran it and it doesn't work. But there are videos on YouTube of it working? Was it removed in later versions of 10?

telnet client needs to be enabled in programs and features

USELESS
WASTE OF ENERGY

Blinking lights are for faggots who still use pre-owned, jizz-coated Thinkpads from 2001.

You don't need to know when shit is in use. It benefits you in no way. If you're that paranoid or you desire "MUH FREEDUMBS" so badly, disconnect from the fucking internet.

It's exactly the right amount of light at night for me to fumble my way into the bathroom

If they can't be disabled they're cancer

Yeah, I did. Then when you enter the command in cmd it just gives me a blank screen. If I do telnet to o to towel it gives me a connection to host lost error.

>tfw I love the blue ones
