post your keyboards

The mito canvas samples are looking alright

I gave most of them to my friends so I can't post them all. So have a meme board instead

That is a fucking meme

okie

I wish I have more money for keycaps.

Great taste

Not if it's going to jack up the price.

>Previous/current keyboards

Right now i'm using a shitty Dell $30 combo piece of crap that makes my fingers hurt.

I like this one. But I'm not sure if it's any good. I like the clean aesthetic.

Nth for 75%

Shit's expensive, man.

Only one poor me. :(
Sorry.

decent alternative to "you're just like your mother"

did you use an f660m as the base for that? Did you make the case yourself?

What is the best way to rebind my function keys? For example, I can press FN+F3 to increase volume but I'd rather just F3 be volume up and have FN+F3 be "F3". Will sharpkeys do the job or is there something better?

Which one is that? Maybe I'm just looking on the wrong sites but I'm having a hard time finding a nice 75% with a white body.

Probably a noppoo choc mini of some sort

Get fucked nerds

has anyone tried the ortholinear meme? what are your thoughts on it?

...

...

What's typing on DSA like? I want to get some replacement keycaps, but I'm not sure about the non-sculpted profile since I hate flat keycaps.

...

Is that numbpad DIY?

What is your guys opinions of this?

OP what keyboard is that? I know the keycaps.

Was cool when it was first announced but now it's in a saturated market.

what keyboard is that?

Anyone have the Lambo case can you measure the height of the front edge and the height of the back edge? Please, thanks!

>That Sun Microsystems key.
Unf. Very nice, Anonymous.

Any possible way to find or buy SA translucent legend (lettering) keycaps? or maybe some that look like it? those would be my endgame

HHKB Pro 2, Varmilo VA87M, Varmilo VA22M. Waiting on Mito's XDA Canvas for the Varmilos.

A 96-key

Too unfocused.

It's trying to be a normie gamer board with hot swap and rgb backlighting, while also being an enthusiast board with full programming and a lack of gamer aesthetic.

So you end up with a $200 keyboard that most normies will look at and go "why would I pay that much when corsair exists and looks cooler???" and a decent chunk of enthusiasts will look at and go "ew costar stabs i can't tune and why am i paying for shitty kailh switches and tai-hao keycaps???".

>costar stabs

They got cherry stabs and the kailh switches are supposedly the best of the knock offs. I anxious to see what the 3rd custom switch they plan to offer. I will agree though, the tai-hao caps are garbage even if they are PBT.

Custom Keyboard user here. I called around and found a local place that will let me print PCBs for like ~40 a per 5. My keyboard is BACK ON!

Share the link dude

It's a local place that I got to through a friend. That isn't a normal going rate and the offer is not an extendable one. Sorry.

Huh, I swear I read Costar. I wonder why they switched over after using Costar for both the Whitefox and Ergodox Infinity.

And Kailh aren't anything special, some people really like them but generally it's considered Gateron/Cherry > Kailh/Greetech > other chinkshit

Yeah, well see. I'm gonna jump on it just to see, if the custom switch they offer turn out to be shit i'll just put a set of MX Clears in (with RGB housing) and be happy

Kaihua only get a bad rep because they made them shitty Razor switches. Kaihua Blues feel great.

do you plan on designing an alu case for this as well? seems like a neat project.

I'm currently working on the board layout. Once its done I'll take it any my plate and throw them into autoCAD and then design a case that the plate sits on and screws in. I'll most likely make it out of either aluminum or steel.

I'll probably make a few prototypes first before actually spending the extra money on ergo-clears and stabilizers. I'm hoping to learn about the fab processs. Maybe I'll start a little business or something. As it stands my design is 100-keys so it certainly sounds nice.

is there a better material for keyboard keys than plastic?

I wonder. We can rule out wood or stone straight away due to basically requiring milling, I'd say. Cast metal might be as easy and possibly cheap as injection molded plastic, but I'm not sure how you'd do legends? Stamp them in afterwards, have molds for each cap with raised legends, or some kind of double-cast system where you use two different metals with sufficiently different melting points so that casting the cap doesn't mess with the legend? I don't think stamped metal would be possible because of the stem, and welding a stem on after stamping the main cap from would be too complex probably.

There's probably a reason mass production of keycaps is done with injection molded plastic.

PBT keys will last years with only minor wear. The only thing that I say you might gain from changing materials is the feeling when it hits the plate of the keyboard. I've heard that even between ABS and PBT, certain backplate materials that can make the keys feel better.

I swear I've seen stamped metal keys

what? looks like a standard incline. git gud

in that case you can get several cheaparse kailh boards instead of this $200 meme

So I got a dead LED on my masterkeys pro L.

I bought it not even 3 months ago. How do I replace the LED?

Can I REM it?

Currently in the process of cleaning the caps from the MX Blue board so I can switch to the MX Clear board.
I also have some caps and replacement switches for the MX Red board so I can finally retire these horrible 'murrica caps.

pic related. The F1 key.

It's probably better to just RMA it since it's almost new.

that's noppoo choc mini.

plum84 which is the same design (but comes with topre clones or regular switches) also comes in white. plum84 is quite cheap with gaterons but i don't know what the shipping and other fees would cost from taobao.

world.tmall.com/item/538579660599.htm

I think the plum iis the new choc mini. Noppoo's store has no products available for sale and the stock of their keyboards that was on newegg, amazon, etc is just about gone.
If you look at the plum it IS a choc mini. The same tooling was used to make iit. The legends are the same and in the same position, the branding is in the same spot on the space bar.
Anyway if that guy wants to change keycaps I would stay away from the choc. The keycaps it comes with are all larger than standard so if you replace them there is more room between the keys than there should be. It's very slight but it's there. Pic related.

...

i think it's normal just that you have a bright backplate so the gaps are more visible

i also wish i knew.
i've come to the conclusion i will just have to buy a set or a board with them to find out.

I accidently fucked the cable on my WASD V1. What kind of cable can I replace it with or do I need to contact WASD?

"ergonomic" keyboards are such a meme. pic related isn't how a touch typist angles their hands. with a proper typing technique your wrists are naturally straight and you would have to flex your wrists purposefully to put them in this weird position.

What's the best website or software to take typing lessons?

keybr.com

a clueboard and yes custom case

cluepad from the clueboard guy, felt like it was the best option next to going custom

how much did that EarthBound cartridge cost? Reproduction or original?

I actively dislike the non-sculpted rows for both typing and gay game gayming.

Speaking about Noppoos - I have recently replaced my old keyboard, which is a Noppoo Choc Mini. It still works well, except for some issue when at random times keystrokes are multiplied.
Do you think Noppoos will rise in price (rarity etc.) or should I just keep it as backup?

But you see how your choc doesn't have it? The black is so nice. Mine is stuck on the otgersode of the country and my asshole uncle won't mail it

Its possible. Im fanatical about it but with the drevo gramr and Excalibur undercutting it so hard it is difficult to guess. Keep it for now, I switch between keyboards all the time

Does anyone make boards with Blacks and decent caps anymore? Seems everyone has moved to Reds, which are too light to me.

t. using a Deck Legend that's 6 years old now.

please what keycap set is that

where do I aquire the two--tone beige keycaps you have on that poker?

Ducky is still around

Those ones look like DSA granite. That color scheme is very common and even the chinks make copies of it. EnjoyPBT makes a set modeled after the Ducky One with Dye-sub PBT keycaps, but in cherry profile for 50 bucks

Yuri is named after Gagarin's fetish. When asked in 1965 what kept him going through the awfully strenuous physical tests before he went into space he replied

>"2 hot manga babes rubbing their spicy minges against one another. I traded some vodka for some porn back in Vladivostok, and I was enraged to find it was drawn by some chinaman. After calming down, I had a look and had a cock harder than the dome of the kremlin. I love drawn dykes going at it."

>He doesn't know where he is

The magicforce is such a nice board for the price. I want another in black with brown switches.

Post you are magicforce?

just get this beauty for 5x the price

massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-input-club-k-type-mechanical-keyboard

Jesus that's insane. I know the parts legitimately cost that much but still. We're in the golden age of keyboards now that the patents have expired. They're barely more expensive than an average rubber dome at this point. Even total casuals with no interest can easily afford a nice board with the switch of their choice.

Also I have a clear picture of my 75% finally. It was the stock app on the s4 causing the grain.

if you have unlimited money, why would you want this chinkshit that looks like shit, for $200 + the cost of better switches + the cost of better keycaps, just because it has hotswappable switches, you can get a much nicer custom keyboard for $200-300

Original. $200 back when I bought it (around 2012) with the original big box and guide.
