What is your point? For years Apple has made iDevices able to be totally independent of computers for anything other than recovery. It started with OTA updates. They acknowledged that they sell a lot of phones to people who don't have actual computers.

Phone OS customization is for autists. Maybe you weren't old enough to use mobile phones before they became 'smart'. A modern smartphone is basically just a cellular app launcher, and Apple has nailed the concept. No normal person cares about customizing the font of their 3rd home screen clock.

Even my mom likes to have weather widget on the home screen. I don't think iPhone is bad but I don't think I want to make the switch when feature wise Android has a lot more going for it.

The days of phones needing to be faster or whatever are gone. Even battery life is pretty good on a lot of them. I can't see any disadvantages to getting an Android since you have more freedom.

Yes plenty of times. They've been doing it for years but quickly get brushed under the rug because of the amount of damage control around it. Samsung just wasn't so lucky, especially since the Note 7 fiasco was caused by a legitimate design flaw.

Most macfags have Android phones, this is a strange fact. macOS is like a well functioning Linux distro, its also nice for doing quite a few kinds of projects.

Most iPhone users are poor and think that having an overpriced phone will make them look less poor, however their manners show their true colors.

Having decent shoes is a status symbol in Mexico, never mind any Apple product. What do you expect from people who post MS Paint shit as an argument? Apple's a fucking monster in the industry in terms of size, they're acquiring companies dozens of times a year for even tiny shit like an algorithm, they're developing all manners of things their competitors are not (I don't see other companies making their own file system like APFS or their own damn language like SWIFT) its also not cheap to move as many things as you can in-house. Apple are the king of custom, all that shit is expensive. On top of that, there's all their media services, on top of that, they have no real competition because nobody else is selling a package PC with a custom tailored OS. I've said it before but if for example Lenovo shipped all their machines with a custom Linux distro and committed to it, that would be some decent competition for Apple, at least for MacBooks in the professional market.
