They just copied American technology. It's really aesthetic some of it but it was literally just reverse engineered American tech.
I've also been looking for some old soviet science books as they apparently taught marxist thought together with physics, chemistry and mathematics. It's very interesting.

>trying to achieve an utopia through terror
VERY good ideas there lad

Well they made Tetris so that's something...

We went into space before the West. First man in space, first woman in space, first satellite in space etc.

West = WEAK

i'm not sure but i think their computer were tertiary (aka using 0,1 and 2 instead of just 0 and 1 like binary system)

ternary*
my bad

Tetris was their greatest achievement

...

>Tetris was their greatest achievement

Wrong

fpbp

A bit behind the west (around 5 years) mostly due to differences in material sciences. The west had a massive head start in this field because they had a head start on industrialization and didn't have to rebuild after WW2. Soviet engineers were brilliant.

Copied decade old western crap with questionable reliability and imported japanese ram.

Slightly obsolete, computers were not as vital as it is today though.
There must have been some espionage fuck up with all theses non-standardized floppy disks.

>The west had a massive head start in this field because they had a head start on industrialization
More like embargo on high-tech stuff and shortage on almost everything.

soviet engineering was legendarily bad. Building an airplane engine during WW2 took 5 times as many man hours in the USSR than it did in the USA

...

I wish the soviet union survived as a social democratic union

engineering != manufacturing

That's what they are right now. Powerful omnipresent socialist government but democratic one as well.

Still won the war. Sadly.

USSR WON WORLD WAR 2 SO SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH YOU UNGRATEFUL LITTLE SHIT

Lol spot the drumpf supporter.

Your nazi orange clown is getting impeached soon so enjoy it while it lasts.

made weird hyrdaulic and trinary arches early on, later copied ibm in late 70s, stole borland and microsoft technology in latter days

Nobody won ww2.

thread theme:
soundcloud.com/novosti-kulturi/novosti-kulturi-quartz

utter trash. imagine american technology, but 10-20 years older for its time
only one
and anything after that period were just clones of american stuff

Those are like taking pawns. Remembet that the moon that rises over your head every night is a red white and blue moon.

The US did.
Through advanced kikery, they established their power on the ashes of old empires.
And then Russia and the US fucked up the world for the century to come.

Post WWII tech was literally Nazi tech made by the captured Nazi engineers.

USA captured more scientists but the Soviets had amazing reverse engineering skills and didn't depended on private corporations, which made 100% of the countries resources available for whichever grand project they wanted

>Nobody won ww2.

USSR WON WORLD WAR TWO

They invented trinary

jews won ww2

Something like 30% of Microsoft products are made by Russians.

>the piece of land i was born on is better because people way smarter than me did stuff there before i was born

why are nationalists so stupid

The other 70% is made by Indians

This may sound retarded, but commies in general chose things more complicated to manufacture. Why? So people has something to work on. Everyone has to work.
In Poland in the 70s they made some revolutionary minicomputer 10 years ahead of first IBM PCs. But the commies didn't allow it. Why? Because it was too simple. It required less time and less people to develop it, than other computers. In the capitalistic world it is the opposite, isn't it?

That said, commies made AK, simple, reliable, cheap and working assault rifle.

>Impeached
How long until you see through your self delusions. Also, go back to Pol with this worthless rhetoric.

>making german leaders issue capitulation for the second time - a day late - just so you can feel like a bigboy and divert attention from that you sent 30 million men to their death

lel commies

They tried, but it was unreliable because of the way that bits were passed. i.e. 0=nothing 1=half voltage 2=full voltage

Electronics still aren't precise enough (at least for consumers) to do that reliably.

Don't stare too much at the moon, user

Surprisingly high tech! Initially, the Soviets had home grown computers. They were the first adopters of Trinary logic.

However, seeing America focus so heavily on binary computing, the politicians insisted they ditch home grown efforts into computing and insisted they by and large copied American ISAs and systems to have an upper edge in cyber warfare.

Interesting fact: the most popular computers in the Soviet Union were based off of the PDP-11. The Soviets were able to size down the TTL PDP-11 CPU into a single chip package without sacrificing capability and compatibility, something that DEC themselves were never able to do.

So weak they collapsed instead of having an economic boom...

USSR made the best cameras and lenses in the world after WWII because they took all the machinery from Germany to Russia and Ukraine to manufacture lenses and copies of Leica cameras. The camera and lens factories were staffed by the thousands of orphan children left without parents after Russia lost 1/4 of their population in WWII.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FED_(camera)

In the united states of america, they reserve the right to bear arms
in soviet Russia, they reserve the right to arm bears

Always remember

>Building an airplane engine during WW2 took 5 times as many man hours in the USSR than it did in the USA

That's because they were being shot at from one side by the Germans, and shot at by the KGB for not working fast enough, and they had to relocate to the Ural mountains under order from Stalin.

The average American would be bitching on his tumblr about trigger warnings three words into that sentence; those fuckers went and built a plane regardless.

Better a Nazi than a SJW.

If the commercial electronic is any indicator, then it was as said. You can look up this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronika

In American fantasy movies: Brave American soldiers rescue Jews from Auschwitz

In reality: Russian soldiers liberated Auschwitz

Why do American movies always lie?

@60413796
>and divert attention from that you sent 30 million men to their death
You know what?
Americans weren't occupied by Germans for three years.
In the Russia, people got to fight for their lives, for their homes. There were many deaths - and those deaths let Russians live further.
Americans never knew what's a real war, they were never conquered.
So shut the fuck up and never appear ITT in this thread again.

>Soviets had amazing reverse engineering skills and didn't depended on private corporations, which made 100% of the countries resources available for whichever grand project they wanted

This. The downside was that they had to work on the whim of political commissars, and anyone pointing out that a project will not work would get sent to gulag. It's why they lost the race to the moon - whoever was the soviet premiere at the time wanted a launch on one of their anniversary dates, and it was just impossible to get shit done by that time.

This is correct. They got a real life event to go with their boogeyman event, and they guilt tripped the rest of the world over it so hard, that they were given an entire country.

Why are those written in capitalist? Did the person who put them there get sent to a gulag?

lol

THIS

Nazi were the OG SJW.

Yeah old soviet books are great. I'm from an old commie state and their old chem/physics/ maths problem books are still highly sought after because they had difficult problems, seeing as they actually cared about education. Also our based teacher gave our advanced students soviet textbooks that had pages ripped out because he wasn't allowed to give out material praising Lenin and communism.

reminds me of a story about when they won the war. When the news came that Germany surrendered, it was impossible to buy a bottle of Vodka in all of the soviet union. In celebration of the news, they drank it all, in the entire country.

The list goes on and on, you uneducated shithead with propaganda instead of brain. Soviet engineers, mathematicians, doctors and physicist were among the best in the world. Soviets were first in space and first in nuclear energy. U.S. only way to compete was to bring scientists from all over the world: germany, israel, britain, poland, USSR itself. And soviets did all by themselves.

You need a wakeup call faggot

Do you have to attack the US like that
Why can't we agree that everyone had great engineers and scientists at some point

I had that game as a kid but the version where you must defend the Earth from meteors.

>And soviets did all by themselves.
Of course. Socialism is the science of tomorrow.

I am saying the truth. USSR was not an attractive place and people run from it. Nobody went to USSR to do science.
U.S. on the other hand attracted shittone of scientist from all over the globe, including USSR. US space program is based on germans. Helicopters on polish. Stealth technology on soviets. US was the place most scientists wanted to go because US payed them a lot.
And still Soviets were able to stay the best in many areas.

Also noteworth that the mainstay engines of the soviets during the war were essentially a tweaked french v-12 and an american radial

can we please stop this Sup Forums-tier argument
and just post comfy soviet technology

>Stealth technology on soviets.

Based on your post it seems like americans learning from TV is not a meme

Space program itself may not have been based on German tech, but they got Von Braun and many other rocket scientists. The Saturn V rocket that flied to the moon is the grandchild of the V2 rockets that bombed London.

Not sure about the Stealth program, but the Nazis did indeed have experimental jet aircraft that had reduced Radar visibility. I think that may just have been a side effect of their general design however, not an intended design goal. It was one of those Horten planes.

don't know anything about copters.

Wrong, Jews won

I know this good, zx spectrum & commodore 64(more spectrum) were tops what they alone could develop/(without any outside tech).
But, since they used it rudimentary for weapons, they didn't care too much.
Since freedom of speech was not their prime concern , they didn't care for internet beyond catching up purely on warfare/spy bullshit level.
They were more concerned for space programs, because piss contest with USA .
In ex Yugoslavia there was Orao (eagle), it was Yugo of computers(maybe as strong as zx spectrum in times when Amiga 1200 was mainstream),
but people(since there was no iron curtain, it was more or less lite-communism there) were on par with world, everything was imported so no one felt like they lived in middle ages or something.

The OG Chinese bootleg stuff.
A good example is the Concorde and the Tu 144.

That's Japanese technology, not American

not good, look up "Brain drain"

this is what the chinese think of SJW's
白左 (baizou, "white left") is used generally to describe those who “only care about topics such as immigration, minorities, LGBT and the environment” and “have no sense of real problems in the real world”; they are hypocritical humanitarians who advocate for peace and equality only to “satisfy their own feeling of moral superiority”; they are “obsessed with political correctness” to the extent that they “tolerate backwards Islamic values for the sake of multiculturalism”; they believe in the welfare state that “benefits only the idle and the free riders”; they are the “ignorant and arrogant westerners” who “pity the rest of the world and think they are saviours”.

OK, leeme present you this baby.
Orao or Eagle ,8 bit monster from 1984, beautiful 2 colors monitor.
I know everyone used c64 then, so I really don't know why they made this(they could literally assemble c64 because no one cared for IP then).

...

Tu came first. Fuck off

>established their power on the ashes of old empires
So just japan then right? Japan, germany and the USSR all experienced economic miracles though, it's pretty embarrassing those who 'lost' could rebuild their entire economy into superpowers faster than those who won.

And, this is probably rarest computer on earth.
Ivel Ultra, compatible (read: copied from) apple II, it even had its own OS, IOS :).

Read: don't insult gommunism because I am an audistic little bitch that needs muh safe space wherever I go, including the internet

No.
Commies sent spies in France to steal plans and built a half-assed version faster.
Thing is, it was garbage and no match for the Concorde.
Even the US never managed to make anything like that.

>Soviet technology thread
>Insecure Americans come shit it up

>all that death camps
>every single living thing was shot on sight in their march to berlim

By liberated you mean killed most of them?

Wrong on all fronts

You going to say that you invented the air plane too?

The Bolsheviks did, wich is just a branch of Judea.

(member ripping-pages totalitarian-state)
t

>ussr was first into space
>what is the X-15

Well, you showed with your post how stupid you are but I decided to give you a small hint anyway:
Concorde design was flawed, which resulted in the famous incident. Tu144 didn't have that flaw in engine placement because soviet engineers weren't stupid surrender monkeys.

Oh wow, another low iq american that was taught history through propaganda and tv shows

The engines were British made Rolls Royce engines.
And everyone knows Boeing was assblasted about the concorde and still is today about Airbus.
I wonder how a boeing part could conveniently end on the landing strip ;^)

Russia is so far behind America in computer technology that even today their most modern systems are running on vacuum tubes.

I'll add, prior to that "accident"( not even a problem on the plane's end), it had 40 years of flawless service.

>first woman in space
>sending women into space
>not into the kitchen
Cucks.

Yet so far the US sent times more women into space than Russia.

at that point they'd given up and started teaching them english so they can read instruction manuals and computer magazines

Jesus fuck
They literally named it "Game for screen"
