Why doesn't Firefox just make a separate process for each tab?
Furk. I can't tell you how many times a single website's Javascript fucked up my entire computer, forcing me to either restart or wait 10 minutes for Task manager to pop up.
If Firefox just changed to how Chrome processes webpages, then it'll go 10 times faster, because then priority can be given to the current tab opened.

This is in the pipeline but there's shit in the Firefox codebase that goes all the way back to Netscape 1.0. It takes time to clean up.
Jason Reyes
Too much memory overhead.
Ryder Parker
Isn't this already available on Firefox stable?
Adrian Mitchell

It's better than letting Javascript running rampant and out of your control.
Henry Brown

Which roughly translates to "rewrite the whole damn thing" Which roughly translates to "its not really firefox anymore but some new abomination they just birthed out after scrapping and copypastaing _some_ parts of the original firefox" ... Which roughly translates to "you dont really need to maintain your autistic loyalty to firefox anymore" .. which means its finally time for me to find a new browser.. fuck.
Luis Cruz
>I can't tell you how many times a single website's Javascript fucked up my entire computer Are you running on a pentium 4?
