Seattle

I'm thinking of moving to Seattle, what are some good technolo/g/y companies to work for? What do you like about this city?

Fuck off we're full.

Why?

Fuck off we're full.

The bay area is starting to get expensive and I want to try someplace new for a change...

Seattle is just as expensive

Move to San Fran its better and less expensive

Humble part of Shenzhen.

Less humble part of Shenzhen.

Uh no, have you even been to SF?

Rents in Seattle metro-area are what bay area was a decade ago

gay city, gtfo fast

Fuck off we're full.

You made the same thread like 5 days ago.

If you have the right skills/qualifications and mindset, Seattle can be a really awesome place to live. The city is booming, it's still very clean compared to other cities, the close proximity to beautiful natural areas is amazing, compensation is high/cost of living is relatively lower than areas like SF or NYC and it's a very chill culture. However, the weather sucks, the cost of living is RAPIDLY increasing to the point where it's already on par with SF in some areas, the city is not incredibly diverse compared to others, median income is quite high so lower earners will suffer and traffic blows due to the geography (lots of water) and very poor infrastructure. There is also the infamous "Seattle Freeze", homeless people begging you for money all over downtown and hilariously liberal (borderline socialist) political climate.

Major technology companies include all the major ones... Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, Expedia, blah blah it goes on and on... if you are a typical Sup Forums NEET it will be hard to get one of those high-prestige, high-paying jobs, but there is enough demand that even a slightly unqualified person may be able to find something. You could also be a contractor.

Do you want to be a slave for Amazon or Microsoft?

Also, fuck off we're full.

>the city is not incredibly diverse compared to others
oh, so fewer niggers and spics? where do i sign?

I wouldn't say that's accurate. It's a pretty diverse city. Also if you like being assaulted by the homeless, it's good for that.

I used to volunteer at the Seattle aquarium during high school and on lunch break this homeless guy grabbed my forearm and asked for money. I gave him 20 dollars

I currently pay $2750 per month for a one bedroom apartment in Capitol Hill, Seattle. I can listen my neighbors using the toilet from my kitchen. The heater is completely fucked up and the management don't give a shit (I have a maintenance request since December).

How much do you pay in the bay area for a shitty flat?

Hahaha nigger u got played. I lived in a very nice part of lower queen anne. Like 30 min walk from the needle. 1 bedroom for 1200
Look harder user

About the same but it's not downtown SF, more like in south bay area (San Jose, etc.)

Move to Australia

Aren't we all slaves? Either we are a slave to sin or a slave to Jesus Christ

Seattle is becoming an expensive liberal hellhole.
There's a reason people are moving from Seattle to the lower towns

Ur better off movie to a cheaper location and driving to ur job in Seattle.

What places would you recommend in the Seattle metro-area? I realize it may depend where my job is, but let's assume job is in downtown Seattle. Would it be better to live north around Lynnwood, or south around Tacoma, or east around Redmond? Thanks in advance...

Yeah well, I don't want to live in a crackhouse
Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, Madrona, and maybe First Hill. Check the public transportation map.
