Sigh....

You can build your own gaming PC with top stats and every feature you'd want for $2,000 -- and that's being generous.

Very generous!

Most of Isnt like that you are going to get every single "game" that comes out and cry bullshit about it

Most people on PC don’t play 4K, they are happy with 1k and even less without having to waste on their "multitasking memes" getting 3 screens, if anything 2 are enough

You say game PC
Tell me what games

if you have that kind of money go full motion tracking oculus

...

$8K build
>Inb4 fell for the [insert company] meme

i7-6900K
Some meme liquid cooler
Some meme mobo
Some meme 1500W PSU
Some meme case
64GB DDR4-2400
4x 1080Ti (yes it can be done)
And that's the best reasonable base. Now most of your remaining money is gonna go towards storage. You have $3200 left at this point.
Samsung 960 Pro 2TB X2
Some 10TB NAS drive or 2
And you're out of cash.

Which set is better:

1070 + Ryzen 1700x
1070 + Ryzen 1700
1070 + 7700K

>No gpu

fuck, i meant 800$

i'm don't want any of that 4K stuff, i can't even afford that

i just want to play recent games even if i have low graphics

If you're strictly gaming it's the 6700k.
Otherwise 1700X can be found for cheaper than 1700

So stick one in there. A 1080ti brings it to just over $2000 usd, just like the guy said.

1080 TI and then get either Ryzen 7 or i7 7700k

OP here, ignore this poorfag.
I want to spend at least $4k, now stop pussying around with these baby builds

But im the OP though and I said 8K you fucking dickhead.

OP here, who the fuck you think you are?

>I have 8K
>I want to spend at least 4K
identify the incompatibility

Nobody "strictly games"

If you really are, then get a G45-whateverthefuck cpu and always remember to shut down everything before launching a game.

In the real world people can't be assed to do that shit and they're running 5+ programs alongside whatever game they want to play, on an 8 month old bloated wangblows installation.

You're going to want the AMD cpu because it'll handle all of that shit better. It'll do all the non-gaming shit better, it'll do the gaming-shit-with-shit-in-the-background better, but it won't do the turn-it-all-off-only-launch-the-game-application-after-a-full-system-reboot better; in that case it ends up 7% behind on a select few games that haven't caught up with the multithreading, multi-core reality yet.

I seriously can't believe people are still recommending the intel cpu's. They're shit compared to ryzen. Ryzen gets virtually the same singlethread performance and 1.5x to 3x faster multithread performance for a lower price; jesus christ this isn't calculus or rocket surgery.

This kind of shit belongs on Sup Forums or Reddit. Now please neck yourself you fat man child.

Literally a shit build and with the gpu would be the same price as his estimate.
>what did he mean by this?

just get the Acer predator, it's 9 thousand dollars

>virtually the same single threaded.

Not a chance buddy. That's just simply not true. Maybe an OCd 1800x will match a stock 6700k but both OCd its Intel that wins in single threading. Don't even try to push that bullshit.

I'm actually going to do a test now. Gonna bench GTA V with no background programs. Then I'm gonna run the same bench with OBS streaming at 720p60 2500 bitrate using quick sync h.264 along with 20 tabs open where one of them is YouTube playing music. Also probably have discord open and maybe something else. We will see if there is significant drop. I know tests like this have been done in the past with i5 vs i7 and even the i5 doesn't lose performance.

I'm probably going to be buying ryzen anyways cause its gonna blow my 6700k away in 4k gaming. Just don't push that its 'the same' in single threaded.

>acting smug about fucking video games
Sup Forums needs to fucking leave. this kind of shit is ruining this board.

>1k
gtfo. maybe laptop users

...

oops
Total: $7869.44

>Caviar Blacks

You'd be better off relying on Reds, no?

Wait for threadripper

I suppose.

I actually did the test and (you) were right, intel CPU is shit.

>reddit meme in the OP pic
kys

I just did the test and experienced a maximum 8% fps drop. CPU sits at 65% while streaming in OBS, watching the stream on twitch, listening to music off youtube, having 20 random tabs open, discord and a bunch of random monitoring programs on. Considering the 6700k performs better than the r7s in GTA anyways I don't get this meme that it can't multi task.

Skylake-X or Threadripper
4xVega or Titan Xp
1600W PSU

X299/X399 Apex or OC Formula

DDR4 4133+ kit

Pic related radiator with Iwaki RD-30 pump
Thermal grizzly conductonaut for paste
Fujipoly thermal pads
1 Cpu block
4 gpu waterblocks

thats a big radiator.

save your money stupid

it's the stock i7 7700k cooler.

Spend the rest on sluts and anime

If you are going to buy an 8k pc pre built you might as well instead just buy 400 copies of windows XP since you want to throw away money

can't tell if this fammu is trollin us or if he let his 8 year old brother pick out the parts

>falling for the gaming PC meme

Nobody needs more than a P4 with winxp on it unless you have shit taste

pcpartpicker.com/list/wYKczM
Spend the extra $40 on a csgo knife.

the dollar sign goes at the beginning of the number

Better get a workstation instead at that price.

you could have fooled me with that mask that you had a nice sized brain

You forgot the mayonnaise

/pcbg/ you fucking newfag

I will never understand people who use top of the line CPUs and then skimp on the GPU for gaming.

It matters fuck all if you have an i5, i7 or even an i3, as long as you have a fast a good GPU like the 1080 ti or Radeon equivalent

wccftech.com/nvidia-titan-xp-benchmarks-pictures/
250W stock
2.1ghz = 400W
400*4 + 16core at 4.3ghz = 1900-2000W
The X370 Hero can only go to 4.2ghz
24/7.

M8 my graphics card cost almost that much

if you want to spend that much on a gaming pc youd have to spend most on peripherals
the pc would be basically gtx 1080 ti + latest i7 or the new ryzens and add like a ssd or something rest nothing special
for peripherals maybe 1440p 144hz ips gsync monitor
really good audio speakers or headphones or both with amp/dac and shiet
good mechanical keyboard with customs pbt caps and shiet
thats about it really

pcpartpicker.com/list/93843F

no need for 2 way sli its not worth it
and get a normal ssd not the new ones
and yea this is pretty much it u could find a cheaper mobo i guess

also the psu is overkill and no need for platinum just go gold 2 like 700 w or smth and ur set

rest just get the peripherals

> Virtually unlimited budget
> Picks AMD CPU

Wew lad.

>G45-whateverthefuck
Is the last time you had a look at a game benchmark in the Core2Duo days?

Nvidya limits sli to 2 with 10X0 series

PS4 Pro

If you raised the budget to 20000, you could buy 2x GP100 + NVLink ( yes it can play games )

amazon.de/PNY-Quadro-PCI-Express-4096-bit-3D-Stereo/dp/B06X9X9PSS

NVLink is much faster than the 1GB/s SLI bridge ( gen1 )

If your budget is unlimited
nvidia.com/object/quadro-sync.html
This lets you run 30 displays
