At first, I didn't like studying English when I was junior highschool students since I had often gotten bad scores on my exams.
However I was interested in versatile softwares made by foreigners, so I had no choice but to learn it to read their websites,
but afterwards I got to like it somehow as time goes by.
I've kept learning English on my own since that.
(but it still takes me a long time to write something in English though and I'm not good at writing and reading yet)

I will never understand how Japanese people have trouble reading English. But hey at the same time I will never understand how a weird language as Japanese ever got into existence with all those weird symbols.
History can be so fascinating, what made the Japanese use weird symbols instead of just the ones we use? They probably ask the same about western languages though.
