How am I supposed to screw this card in if the holes don't line up? I mean the card fits, I just need a brace, but what about the screws for the PCI?

I've had this problem OP, you just gotta use zip ties and hope for the best

Support the card with your hand and then screw it in at the correct location.

Get something to brace the other end that will be sagging.

Remember to take your medication for your autism.

>screw it in at the correct location.
the screw wont fit because the card isn't really made for this case, it's the haf x

What the other user said is correct. Your card is sagging

Support it with your hand and line up the holes, then screw the screws in

It's very important that you do this, otherwise that stress will be tearing at your pcie slot

...what?

ask your mother for help

i dont know how you got a hold of her credit card to buy a 1080 ti in the first place, but clearly this is beyond your mental capability

This is how I solved my issue, since I couldnt get the screws to catch onto the thread

you are an idiot

push the back of the case towards the front of the case, the pressure will cause the screw holes and the opening on the gpu to line up

i hate you

I'm legally blind, this stuff is hard for me

Doesn't work, I spent hours on it, I even got another friend to help but we had to go with this solution. Its some defect with the case

i dont know why you are posting here, we aren't coolermaster rma/help line

>line up the holes
that's just it the holes don't line up when I lift the card up with my hand because the metal bracket is too big and don't fit, this case was made for smaller cards I guess

move the cpu radiator and put the GPU in the 1st slot. put the case down on its back should make it easier.

I'm just mentioning to OP that he may have to zip tie it, I've had mine zip tied for 3 months now and its showing no signs of sagging

>move the cpu radiator
that's the only place it can go

looks like it would if you unscrewed some mobo screws and moved it around

Why do you have the card on the bottommost slot? Is that slot even capable of x16 speed?

Yea I installed a new mobo recently cuz that one died, still have to do the same thing. Its a case defect

i had my card further up and you guys told me to move it down

damn if only you could return defective items under warranty.

install gentoo

just looked at the manual, they are all x16

Get off Sup Forums lynx

Looks like you put your GPU in a normal pci slot not a x16. Put it on the highest slot available.

>not a x16
they are all x16 according to the manual

comically sad, you wasted you mothers money on thia build big time

it was my money, what's wrong with haf x?

x16 can either refer to the size of the physical socket or the speed it operates in. They are all x16 sized (which you can see with your own eyes) but they will probably not operate in x16 speeds.

its kind of old but it was good for its time

youtube.com/watch?v=yUQXn1wq6VA

>but they will probably not operate in x16 speeds
so which one does then?

>its kind of old but it was good for its time
i know it's old, but the newer haf x ones they have out are not much different

its funny how i didnt even specify the gaudy case that is the haf x. First ill assume those are 8gb dimms, thats thrice the ram and game will ever need. secondly those dominator sticks are a waste where your paying for a silver logo. The 1080ti itself is a terrible card price to performance wise and is only good for gaming. the psu is overkill and overpriced usually. we havent even got to the cpu yet. i can assume its a 7700k because anything else would be a mismatch for a 1080ti. congratulations you purchased a defective and overpriced cpu that under perfoms compared to cheaper cpus

you should probably take it to someone experienced to help you complete it so you don't break such expensive stuff.

UNLEASH THE EDDDDDGGGGGEEEEEE

The topmost one is guranteed to work. Others vary depending on bios settings and additional hardware installed.

According to your manual:
>slot 1 runs at x16
>slot 2 shares bandwith with usb 3 ports/headers and runs at x2 by default
>slot 3 runs at x16 but shares bandwith with m.2 and u.2 slots
>slot 4 is disabled by deafult
>slot 5 runs at x4 unless you disable u.2

>i can assume its a 7700k
it's a i7 6800K, i heard the 7700k sucks

>>slot 1 runs at x16
damn i was afraid of that, that's right in the way of the water cooler tubes, man

>>slot 1 runs at x16
>>slot 2 shares bandwith with usb 3 ports/headers and runs at x2 by default
>>slot 3 runs at x16 but shares bandwith with m.2 and u.2 slots
>>slot 4 is disabled by deafult
>>slot 5 runs at x4 unless you disable u.2
where does it say that in the manual?

close enough anyway, is the use something like "gaming and light editing"?

>is the use something like "gaming and light editing"?
idk, just got he best I could afford at the time, would love to have the i7-6900K but it's almost a thousand dollars

Turn the radiator around.

Here? Not 100% sure but that's how I interpreted it

Just push ut back half a fucking inch and screw it in.
How weak/retarded can you be?

"you guys"

For what reason? There's no legitimate reason why you should not put your card in the top slot.

what page? and thanks
dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2011/X99-DLX_II/E11357_X99-DELUXE_II_UM_WEB.pdf

wouldn't he fuck up the mobo?

why is 3 on there twice?

get a mac.
its made for people like u.
gayming cunts fucking disgusting.

>Turn the radiator around.
if I turn it around it would be backwoods and would not screw it, lol

>get a mac.
no thanks, I'm a gamer my good man

Because it'll run at 8x speeds if your CPU only has 28 lanes, which is the case of the 6800k.

I've had this issue, the case was bad. I just bent the metal part on the gpu with a plier. I actually got a new case recently and then I easily rebent it back to how it was and you can't even tell really, the metal is pretty soft

>fucking 860 watts for a single card mATX board
>shitty overpriced GPU that's only there thanks of neetbucks
>installs it on the wrong PCI slot
>didn't install the whole mobo properly and wonders why it "doesn't fit"
>corsair "watercooling"
>that cable management

Gaming faggots should be shot.
