Because Windows and Mac are the two most popular platforms for desktop. Why would you make ransomware for Linux when it has like 1-2% at most?

Are you implying that targetting servers would yield a higher ROI? There are fewer servers than desktops, and desktop users tend to be less tech-savvy. Why the fuck would you target servers?
