ASUS Designo monitor. Ma nigga.

DaVinci Resolve

Kdenlive+Natron

Premiere Pro for editing
Davinci Resolve for proper color adjustment

All memes aside, my understanding is that AVID Media Composer is the industry standard nowadays.

Although I'm sure various studios/TV use Premiere Pro + After Effects.

Of course, when it comes to post production and visual effects there are dozens of specialised software involved.

Honey Select Studio

i don't think i like natron's dev shit much, very closedy

Somewhat correct.

Media Composer is the big standard in Film.

Premiere Pro is used in Film too (Gone Girl, Girl with a Dragon Tattoo, etc) were all cut with Premiere Pro.

After Effects is a compositing/animation tool mostly used in Motion Graphics.

Final Cut Pro X is used in documentaries and news stations because it's so fast.

Final Cut Pro 7 used to be a big standard, but Apple discontinued it and Adobe took over that customer base with Premiere by making it better (it used to be complete shit).

Nuke/etc. are used in high end compositing for Film mostly.

Davinci Resolve is pretty much free now and a lot of places use it, from low end to high end.

Thanks

Script based Avisynth.

some dacinvi by black magic.
i heard it's free.

i on the other hand, use vdub + avisynth.
but all i do is encode bdmv, not splicing shit.

It's really depressing to see what Apple has become, they've given up being a computer company to become a phone company.

When they have more than enough money to maintain all their computer lines, and software lines.

Quicktime 7 Pro

What about Lightworks?

this

Hitfilm is fine, combines editing with compositing. (Except it has shit laggy video preview)

a hex editor. Write the video itself.

Avid Media Composer

Anything else is a lie.

Premiere is crashes like a motherfucker, only used by students and neets

FCPX is a children's playtoy and unsuitable for professional production

AVID is the only stable choice that "just werks"

I've thought it was kdenlive until i saw the Adobe® name on the Window.

I kinda like Sony Vegas.

Not much experience with any other though.

>Avid
>Adobe

literally two of the worst software companies in charge of the video market
JUST

Vegas is nice and all but it really gets on your tits when it crashes multiple times an hour
