Dumb smugposter

What's the point of installing Debian if you're just going to use packages from the Unstable repo? Why not just install some variant of Ubuntu or Linux Mint at that point?

>install debian

>useful things aren't available because *autistic freetard screeching*

Debian doesn't ship proprietary blobs in their kernel by default
Debian's Testing and Unstable releases are rolling, so once installed it can theoretically never need a reinstall
Unlike Linux Mint, Debian doesn't hold back kernel updates by default
Enable non-free and contrib

Come on guys, I don't even use Debian outside of a server and I know this stuff

>I don't even use Debian outside of a server
You probably don't have a reason to use it at all beyond the meme staleness of the packages that you pretend makes your system stable.

>>He didn't install Debian to actually get stuff done and have a stable system.
No. I didn't.

My software only works on Windows.

It jest werks, user.

FSF doesn't approve of Debian because it offers non-free software by default. You go ahead and keep shitposting about a distro you've never used though.

>actually get stuff done
show some stuff you actually got done

The FSF can fuck off.

I actually use Debian Testing with KDE. No ricing at all, even wallpaper is default. I just don't care. Most of the time I'm writing code, writing LaTeX or reading things and whatever I'm working on is fullscreen.

>show some stuff you actually got done
Pic related

Well, I don't even use Debian outside of really old hardware and I didn't know any of that because I've always used the stable branch since it's most likely to work on old hardware.
